Overwhelmed by their own capacity.
We walked in on a Saturday evening, it was busy as expected (every joint in this block and next is packed every weekend). However their inability to keep up with their own capacity was really disappointing. It was a challenge to get a hold of someone to place our order. After first round of orders placed, food was ready timely and served, but without any plates. And the cutlery stand on the table was empty. So we ask for both. Plates arrive, but getting cutlery became the second challenge, which continued through the night. Everytime they would grab a handful from an adjoining table, but the food platters wouldn't come with any serving cutlery so we kept running low on the table cutlery as it got used. Same trend continued through our second round of orders. After we placed the third round of orders, we got a supervisor come in and check if we had placed an order. Made us think that orders are getting mismanaged. We got 1/3rd of the order served timely, 2nd part after a reminder, and last item of the order after multiple reminders to people walking by. I understand a reasonable slowdown at busy times, but not getting plates/cutlery, not being able to place orders and then having to follow up multiple times is unacceptable and really took the excitement out of our evening. It would be more respectful to the guests if we are welcomed and seated only when they actually have capacity to serve. The staff was overwhelmed, but they were courteous and professional.
Food quality and taste was generally good. Tandoori snacks platter - good. Chaat platter - good. Chinese platter - okayish (spring rolls not good). Idli Sambar - good. Red sauce pasta - good. Kohli's special pizza - bad. Generous toppings, and top seemed to have the good levels of charring, but the bottom had 0 crust. As if absolutely no heat touched the bottom. Latte and Fresh Lime were okay.
Atmosphere on its own was pretty good. Decor was nice. Furniture was nice. Acoustics seemed spot on, as despite a full house, we were able to have conversations easily and no intrusions from adjacent tables. Music volume in the background comfortable for a family outing. No young baby/children chairs were available at this time.
Nitpicking- I suggest they proofread their menu.
Overall, I would not recommend going on weekends, and cannot recommend their pizza.
On flip side - they are doing interesting things with their pastries and cakes. Had cartoonish designed cakes...
Read moreFabulously delicious food. I have visited the place several times in last couple of months for lunch, dinner, or for small snacks. So far I am loving the quality of food. They maintain very clean and hygienic environment.
One major criticism is that the space too congested in my liking. The ground floor where sweets are available and the first floor restaurant, both floors are utilised to the fullest extent, feels like you are in a cheap supermarket like Vishal Megha Mart! (No offense to Vishal Megha Mart, I visit there too sometimes 😂😂).
Food and sweets price is a little bit higher than the other nearby competition (I hope you know which Sweet shop I mean 😜). However, I do not mind paying a bit extra as I think food quality is better here. If you are thinking how do I know the food quality is better, oh boy, my stomach thanks me so much after I take any meal here compared what bombastic sounds it used make after every time I used take meal from a nearby competition 🤔🤔. If my stomach's assessment changes in future, I will report back here 🫡🫡, until then, Thank You Kohli Sweets, I hope you will maintain the food quality.
And about the support stuff, they are really pollite and cooperative. They are the...

What really stands out, though, are their Tandoori items. Whether it’s the tandoori paneer, kebabs, or naan fresh out of the clay oven, the flavors are rich, smoky, and authentic. These dishes are cooked to perfection and definitely worth trying if you're visiting for the first time.
