Agent Jack's (Baner) — Restaurant in Pune

I visited Agent Jack's on a Sunday evening and was very disappointed and disheartened with the service I got. This would be the super negative review from me. Ambience: Good and vibrant and very nice live music. Loved it.

Food: I have to mention they have very good food as well. I had taken 'Mexican patty mushroom sauce' and the taste was ausumn and very unique. I loved it. Now comes the tragic incident that happened with the service and the time I received the food.

Service: When I entered in the hotel they were not giving me the place I would like to sit as if I had to listen to them and they would dictate where I sit. When I asked for regular water they told me to take packed mineral bottle which is chargeable. The reason given was he will have to go to other side of the hotel and bring it. I had asked about the dish in detail of how it is mild or medium or spicy and what all would it have. He(Rony) told it is main course and you can order roti or rice with it. So I ordered garlic naan with it. When I got the dish it was served with the patty and sauce with some salad and rice in it. To which I asked I had ordered garlic naan and he told that will come however rice comes with it. Such kind of stupidity. If at all the dish already had rice i wouldn't have ordered garlic naan. I got my order on my table after 50 minutes even after constantly reminding him for 3 times. Finally I went to the manager and told him all about this then I got my order served on the table, else i think I would had to leave the hotel hungry after waiting patiently for so long. Last but not least they also charged me 10 percent service charge for this horrible experience. Really is this what they care. All this happened after their manager, hotel marketing executive Gaurav intervened. So was that intervention had any meaning at all? It was just to show that they cared however after i received the bill with service charge I felt like cheated and all fake sympathies.

We went on a lazy sat afternoon and service was pathetic. It took time for almost every single order to come. We tried some snacks and quantity was horribly low. Also, the pricing which they call keeps on fluctuating is actually on HIGHEST side. We had 50% offer via zomato dineout option which they said they can match with in-store discount. So anywhichway we were getting 50% discount so we settled. Now starts the rip off part. A pint of any beer is under 200/- in Pune at any retail store and Agent jack's app showed it trading at 800+, which made us curious and we asked how come there could be so much of steep hike in prices and guy there said, you will get 50% discount on the offered price. Okay, they do say price can be bargained, but honestly speaking it is their app and it never gives you any good deal. It will always try and settle you for 10-15/- here and there, thats more or less about it. So the pint that we were supposed to get at around 400/- (being a bar they charge high, so reasonably okay), but we were made to believe that this is after 50% discount. So in-effect they do not offer you any actual discount, they just double the price and make you believe you are getting 50% discount. We were not even full and we had to shell out 7+ between three of us. I'm not against the prices, as we have choice to come there or not, but luring customers with 50% disocunt offer and actually offering nothing is a complete DISGUST. Cheap players will always play for cheap and quick gains. Agent or no agent, agent-jack you will never see me visiting any of your outlets ever. Cheat customer and we will ditch...

We have visited this place as per it's high ratings but there is nothing special about it. Since it's in balewadi (Baner) commercial location, the cost is too high as compared to their services and food. No doubt about ambience but nothing more than that.

Service is really pathetic. We have to request them repeatedly to serve our food. Also, there is no glass for serving water. Water bottle charges are Rs 86 per bottle which is too costly.

There are no complementary snacks provided if we order drinks (we ordered a full tower). Also, if you check for peanuts, it will be served in a very small quality and that too costs 300+ bugs. Green Chutney in veg platter was too little and when we asked for a little more, they showed a lot of arrogance and said this is our standard quantity. Quantity of all starters are too little as compared to any other place. Only the main course is Ok but the taste is nothing special for the price they are charged. No fingerbowl after main course, again a very poor show of service.

Be aware about their menu prices and billing. Veg platter cost shown in menu is Rs. 755 but they will charge you in bill just double i.e. Rs 1509 and then will apply 50%. It's not genuine billing at all. Also, they will charge 10% additional service charges which is not included in the bill.
