The service needs a lot of improvement. The staff tries to dissuade you to make their life easier when you have any request. I know it's not easy to accommodate every request but the urgency to say "Sorry! It can't be done" was something that put me off. We requested for a side table where smoking smell could be avoided, but the almost immediate response was dismissal saying "The entire area is a smoking zone". We decided to not make a fuss and considered it our fate but they later came back and offered us a different table which was much better. My problem is, why the urgency to say no. I've visited several restaurants, and their standard response is, "please let us check once what we can do" for any request. If it cannot be met they politely come and say sorry few minutes later and it's perfectly fine. That way the guest gets the idea that they at least tried or had the curtesy to pretend to try. However, it was a Friday crowd and service was expectedly slow. It took some time for us to get the attention of an attendant but once we had ordered our food, it came pretty quickly despite the crowd which was good. But when the staff came with the order, there was a serious lack of training. For one, they won't offer to serve you any kind of water, bottled or plain. Not even when they serve main course. Secondly, the starters came with bare minimum cutlery. We ordered chicken tikka and it came with only two forks, no one offered to serve and there were no knives, spoons etc nothing. Which is also okay, but for a table for two, I had to request the staff to clean up the starters plates, when main course arrived, and had to request them to pick the other plate they were leaving behind. We were only two people, so cleaning the table shouldn't have been too difficult given we ordered a single starter. The main course was served with just two spoons. Again no serving on plate. But the weird thing was, no serving spoons either. So we served our food with the same spoons we ate with. At this point I had no energy to request for anything. We decided we'll just eat, pay and leave.
Sometimes, if we have leftovers, we do request to pack them for takeaway, to avoid food wastage. After dinner, since we had to use eating spoons to serve as well, that was no longer an option.
When they came to take away the plates, they did ask if we wanted the leftovers ready to go. I said no without offering any explanation.
In the middle of all this, a really weird guy came and asked us where we worked. Once we told him that I work in Magarpatta, he was pretty surprised how we ended up there, which is only 4-5 kms away. I didn't wanted to tell him our life story so I just told him we lived nearby but he still had a million questions and I wasn't feeling chatty but he wasn't ready to take a hint. He insisted that I recommend his resturant for office events, which is okay if you've actually paid attention to the guest and given a good service. But in this case, it was just irritating. All the while I wanted to say something but I didn't. He requested me to give him my number, which nowadays is a nuisance.
Everywhere you go, they ask for your number. They already took my number at reception, and then this guy bothered me for the same at my table. He was very bad with listening and typing so I had it to feed it myself in his phone. He called me till my phone vibrated.
Later, at time of billing, they insisted I pay the bill showed by Swiggy app directly to them on swipe machine. That meant no credit card cashback for me for online payments, no refund of cover charge taken by Swiggy, and they didn't exclude the convenience fee that Swiggy was going to charge. I might have lost a few bucks there, but it's okay. It was just another hassle and weird. Restaurants go for increased markup to show heavy discounts for dine in on Swiggy and Zomato. I know different people will have different opinions on this.
We left at around 11:30 and promptly after midnight, the guy had sent hi on WhatsApp. Another number to block on...
Read moreI have got many things to talk about this place So, The moment we reached there, there was a Manipuri lady at the reception stopped us saying one of our friend looked drunk and will not let you go in as he is already drunk, well fly high which restaurant says that? But somehow we manage to get in,thank you for that as we heard a lot about this place so we decided to have patient, Then it didn’t stoped there, The moment we got in we were told to sit at the outside siting arrangement, the reason being first we have to buy something here n get the bill and then only we can get in at dancing floor sitting arrangement, So we decided to sit back there and order for some drinks and there we meet a gentleman man called Mr. Prashant, Fly High would really need to ask you before taking anyone into a hotel service job aren’t they tough to be gentle and decent to they costumers and with basis ethics before talking to the costumers,we asked him for happy hours he explained us with such a rude manner as if he was giving us for free of cost, yes it was still ok and then ask him if we take a pitcher do we have offer on that to and he reply’s is “Madam pitcher pa app ko kuch nai milaga apko pint lana hai toh lo nai toh baahar jao” Wowwww this kind of attitude i came across for the first time, And then there was a manager who came and apologize to use but still Mr. Prashant kept saying the manager kick them out, But the manager apologized to us many times and asked to leave Prashant from there, Let to tell you Fly High the sweeper was much much better and decent then your staff Prashant, I request you to take some strike action towards Mr.Prashant or else you gonna face this issue again as this kind staff is spoiling the brand image very well,
