Let's start from the beginning... 1. They seat you as per your appearance... I noticed inside people were smaller groups or sophisticated looking.. normal folks were seated out at the left side of restaurant with mosquitos.. top floors are for larger groups which suffer in service.. also service varies as per appearance.. observed tables around us. No mosquito repellents fan said to be giving electric shocks thankfully still turned on.had free seats at better tables but suggested odd seats
Food portion are small no issues starters ok or good. Ordered main course butter chicken and it was so poorly presented had no garnishing. Chicken was boiled not tandoored even thought might be salvaged strips no cream on top coriander nothing just boiled chicken in orange gravy no flavour of tandoori chicken or butter just sweetened gravy. Rotis good. Simple order of a starter butter chicken and roti came after 40 mins. We left 30 perc butter chicken not sure what to eat after spoiling our taste and appetite.
Service like last time very bad caption totally unattentive..
Pros clean toilet. Ambience achieved from high prices but poor food taste and presentation and service...
Had visited for peaceful dinner in good ambience but poorly seated mosquito infested poorly made and presented food. With no service to order anything else.. Better to visit jai bhavani reasonable ambience good food but bit rush due to quality. Do not fall prey to ambience or fine dining experience it's a failed cause...
This is not a paid or biased review.. Rather try triranga for ambience and quality or jia bhavani for quality and service ...for no regrets... This is not from one visit it's my second or...
Read moreWell.. we had a weird nimantran experience this time. Nimantran is our go to restaurant for good food whenever we visit pune. It's a must one. We reached around 3 in afternoon. We were six members and a child. The waiter designated to our table told us forefront that it was kitchen closing time so there will be no starters. We were absolutely ok with it because we were hungry too and jumped in. The ordered food came within minutes and it was so delicious, and we started eating. I want to pinpoint here that there were still people eating at different tables and the restaurant was occupied too. Now the waiter who was serving us started to pester us to order us the remaining food faster. And yet we obliged and ordered few more rotis and rice . The order again came within seconds and we hadn't even finished our first course. He hurried us so much that we felt that we were eating in a Bhandara feast. His fellow waiters were having food on other front table. We thought he wanted to join them too. He started to serve and dump us with the remaining food and putting away the used cutlery. He put finger bowls in front of us even before we had finished our meal. This was a very bad experience. After we paid the bill, he was out of the restaurant even before us. Didn't expect this. We wanted to eat peacefully and enjoy as we had traveled 400 km and it was our first lunch in pune. Hope someone takes notice...do the needful. He didn't have to hurry us because all the food was already on table. We could have eaten aramse. Pls nimantran look into this. I couldn't take photos of the tasty food in hurry. We were in and out of the...
Read moreI recently dined at Nimantran, and I must say I had a good time. This restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, with a particularly extensive selection of non-vegetarian options. However, I did notice that their vegetarian choices were somewhat limited in comparison.
One aspect that stood out was their diverse drink menu, featuring a variety of options. During my visit, I sampled their chicken manchow soup and cream of veg soup, and both were truly delightful.
The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the chicken tandoori, which was exceptionally flavorful and well-prepared. I also indulged in their spring roll, chicken mussalman, and butter naan, all of which were satisfying.
For dessert, I opted for the caramel custard, and it didn't disappoint; it was a fitting end to the meal.
What truly enhanced my dining experience was the attentive and friendly service provided by the staff. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful suggestions.
I also explored their range of beverages, including cocktails and mocktails, and was pleased with the quality and variety on offer.
In summary, Nimantran offers a pleasant dining experience with a wide array of non-vegetarian dishes and an impressive drinks menu. While the vegetarian choices are somewhat limited, the quality of the food, excellent service, and enjoyable drinks make it a worthwhile...
