Katakirrr Satara Road — Restaurant in Pune

Kata Kirr at Satara Road is located near Citypride Cinema in the narrow lanes accessible from the two main roads. A misal house cannot be expected to have a great ambiance and likewise this place has none. Seating is out in the open with a temporary roof during the rains. The misal served here is prepared at their Prabhat road branch. The staff wasn't very prompt to take the order but the service was quick. They also prohibit sharing of misal plates which is sad because not everyone can finish a plate of misal by themselves.

The misal is served with pao and is sufficient for 1 person. You can also change the spicy level while ordering as per your comfort. They also give additional rassa with the misal on each table. Everything here from misal to dahi and mattha was excellent. The farsan in the misal here was on the higher side, but the overall taste was great.

I would definitely recommend this place for those looking for good misal in Pune. We were able to have a complete satisfying meal here for less than Rs. 100 per person, which makes for excellent value...

The taste was good but the experience here was very bad. Definitely not worth the hype. There was a long waiting but it is understandable on weekends. But then we got the table and the fan wasn't working due to power cut and it was crazy hot outside. I was literally soaking in sweat and the staff was too late in serving extra pav or anything asked. I had asked for chaanch which I wasn't served till the end. There was rush and the staff wasn't able to handle it seamlessly. Also, with such a reputed name it is expected they have a power backup, all the lights and fans work and consumer experience gets nice.
