We had the pleasure of enjoying a traditional Maharashtrian thali, priced at ₹600 per person. The thali features an elaborate spread of 16–18 authentic dishes, each prepared with care and rich in regional flavor. Among them, the Aamras and Puran Poli deserve a special mention—both were exceptionally delicious and truly memorable. The staff was polite, attentive, and served with genuine warmth, enhancing the overall dining experience. The ambience was pleasant and contributed positively to the atmosphere. However, one downside was the lack of dedicated parking space, which may cause inconvenience during peak hours. Ratings: • Food: 4/5 • Ambience: 3.8/5 • Staff: 4.2/5 • Toilets: 3.5/5 • Parking: 1/5 • Value for Money: 3/5 Overall: A great spot to enjoy an authentic Maharashtrian meal with warm hospitality. Just be mindful of the limited parking options when planning your visit.

Highly recommended: Bhaji Plate, Thalipeeth & Mango Mastani Shabari on FC Road is one of Pune’s classic spots for authentic Maharashtrian food. Their Thalis are wholesome and flavorful — perfect for anyone craving traditional comfort meals. I tried the Bhaji Plate, Thalipeeth, and Mango Mastani, and each dish stood out. The Bhaji Plate was perfectly spiced and served with soft pav, the Thalipeeth had that authentic home-style taste, and the Mango Mastani was rich, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending. A must-visit for those who love desi flavors and hearty meals at reasonable prices. Decent place to enjoy authentic maharashtrian dishes. Loved the kothimbir wadi. There menu is vast.howerver food apart from maharashtrian doshes is not upto the mark. We had broccoli soup which was good. Kaju curry lasuni methi we best. However we ordered HONEY CHILLI POTATO and it was WORST. We complained about it and the waiter and manager said we have like that only . A dish priced at 248 and the just had french fries tossed in some sweet red sauce and til seed to mimic the orignql dish. That experience left us in shame for the guests we took there. Photo attached

Shabari Hotel. FC road. Bylane. Today after the hectic visits to an admission center of the State board college and further coaching classes we hunted for a suitable place for our lunch. Unlike our usual preferences ,today we decided to have a vegetable Thali. Every town or city boasts about a special eatery serving their own brand of Thali. Pune has several vegetarian Thalis. Shabari is one of it. They serve Maharashtrian food with exquisite presentation . The decor is very nice. Thali is served with vegetables like brinjal masala, potato sukhi bhaji, peas masala, daal in the form of Aamti , spiced up butter milk , pakode, salad carrot cucumber grated and curd , Pithale- Besan Gram flour viscous preparation . They offered Bhakri , Jowar Bajri and Chapati. Rice was masala bhat . Gulab Jamun , Fruit salad were desserts ,served right from the word go. To begin with peas masala, it was excellent . Minimal spices and possibly coconut grated in very dry gravy with chilly . Aamti ,was very typical Pune style. Sweet . Very sweet. Usually at home it is done hot with lot of chilly chutney. Potato veg was dry and turmeric did it's trick. Imparting a lemon yellow hue but more importantly didn't overpower, else it can get bitter. Pithale- was good. I have had better ones. Buttermilk was excellent. Bhakri were good and really went well with all the veggies. Masala bhat , spiced rice, as literal translation, got better with a dash of clarified butter. It usually enhances the taste. Pakode were pedestrian. Not much to speak about. I actually split them wide open and added potato bhaji and made my own batata- wada and had it with chilly chutney . Tasted great after improvisation. Good food . Price too steep. INR 350 is way too much. The joint has reputation and the food is unlimited. I am a foodie but not the type who loves to gorge but who loves to taste in tiny bites and relish the food. Recommend for a...

First things first..... We had not gone for the thali / a-la-carte. They serve unlimited breakfast (buffet) on every Sunday. It being Mother's Day, we had gone with my mother and mother-in-law. Now for the experiences: The place is centrally located and very convenient. Ample and specious sitting is provided. However, the place gets crowded soon (as early as 10 am). So go early to ha e a sitting of your choice. Menu is awsome. Start with fruit and fruit juices, milk and cereals. You have maharashtrian, south Indian, punjabi snacks available (at least 2 varieties each and unlimited helpings). Bread choices, sweet snack. It is just too much. Food quality - excellent in most cases! Rates: 250/- per person is absolutely reasonable. Service: Unfortunately, this where the things go downhill and badly. A few items you can have as self service. However, some of the items (the better and in demand) such as vada, cheese chilli toasts, etc. are supposed to be served on table by them. Problem is these items never come on time. This has been my third experience.... so it is not something on off. It took them more than 45 mins to serve them even once. Do not know if this is their strategy to delay such in demand items because by the time they arrived guests including us were full eating easily available items such as poha / upma / bread-butter! We had to literally beg the servers 6-7 times to serve us those! One loses all interest due to such experience. We have tried to raise the issue with the management in the past.... but have seen no change. Summary: I would have come more often, had the service been quicker and responsive. An otherwise good experience being remembered for all wrong reasons!!! Hope...
