YA BASA fails to live up to its hype. Initially impressed by its decor and urban rustic ambiance, my disappointment grew as the focus shifted to the food. We opted for a seemingly straightforward selection: Bhuna Gosht Dal Makhani Garlic Naan Paneer Tikka Masala However, the reality fell short of expectations. The Bhuna Gosht lacked authenticity; instead of the promised dry-roasted meat, it arrived in a creamy curry with kasoori methi and yogurt. The mutton pieces were disappointingly tiny, resembling more of minced meat than chunks. At ₹500, the dish felt overpriced for what it delivered. The Dal Makhani was the low point of our meal. Its excessive sweetness and heavy use of tomato ketchup drowned out any genuine dal flavor, leaving an impression more akin to a tomato soup with a hint of lentils. The Paneer Tikka Masala was passable in taste but skimped on paneer portions, leaving us underwhelmed. The sole saving grace was the Garlic Naan—fresh, crispy, generously topped with garlic, and expertly roasted. Overall, YA BASA earns a modest 3 out of 10. I would not recommend it for anyone seeking a satisfying dining experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ya Basa and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The menu was filled with a diverse selection of seafood and non-vegetarian dishes, all made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. I especially enjoyed the seafood platter which was a decadent array of the freshest and most succulent seafood I have ever tasted. The dishes were expertly prepared, with a focus on showcasing the natural flavors of the ingredients. The service was outstanding, with the wait staff being both attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were able to provide great recommendations and made sure that I was well taken care of throughout my meal. You must try is the chicken handi with Kala masala and the Prawns Kolivada were sumptuous. Overall, I highly recommend Ya Basa for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience. The combination of exceptional food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a must-visit restaurant.
