Ever since I discovered Khane Khas earlier this year, it soon became one of my favorite places for kebabs, butter chicken, and delightful Punjabi/Mughlai/Tandoori treats. The management truly understood their customers' preferences, and despite the small and non-air-conditioned setting, the restaurant boasts a loyal clientele due to its impeccable offerings. However, during my recent visit, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with the Dhuan Chicken & other offerings. It seemed like the flavour profile didn't quite match my previous experiences. I was downcast. On that particular Tuesday evening, the place was bustling with orders, which is usually a positive sign for any establishment, but unfortunately, the food didn't live up to my expectations. The Mutton Rogan Josh, for instance, resembled more of a generic Korma Mutton rather than the authentic dish I had hoped for & it was uninspired. Although their kebabs are usually pretty great, my wife encountered some chewy bits in them, even though they were freshly charcoal-grilled. To stay on top in the highly competitive Mumbai restaurant scene, a good establishment must consistently deliver exceptional taste, irrespective of loyal patronage or busy nights. While I have generally enjoyed their food in the past, I believe Khane Khas needs to step up their game now. I might consider revisiting them in the future, hoping for an improved experience, or perhaps I'll give another restaurant a...
Read moreI have been visiting Khane khaas since 2001. They serve extremely delicious non veg food wether its their famous kaali mirch chicken, afghani chicken or Punjabi chicken they make finger licking non vegetarian food. In veg their Daal makhani is amazing and still serving at 100 Rs per plate whereas most of restaurants charge 130 onwards. Their veg foods are decently good. Food you will get here will be fresh and in good quantity. Their taste and qantities have been very consistent. Their prices fall in mid range and are not very expensive. It is more of a take away joint. The seating space they have is really small and can accommodate only few customers..not Recommended for family outings. Yes you can always order for home Delivery...you...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed and hurt by what happened with my recent order. I specifically ordered Paneer Tikka Butter Masala, a vegetarian dish, but to my shock, I received mutton, a non-vegetarian item. As a vegetarian by choice and belief, this is not just a mix-up—it deeply hurts my sentiments and values.
Food is not just about taste; it’s also about faith, emotion, and trust. This mistake is not only upsetting but also deeply disrespectful to my personal and cultural beliefs. I sincerely hope you understand the seriousness of this and take immediate steps to ensure this doesn’t happen to...
