I was first introduced to this restaurant by my father nearly 5–7 years ago, and ever since, it has become a must-visit place for me every time I’m in the city. Over the years, it has remained my go-to place for the most satisfying and memorable food experiences.
What sets this place apart is not just the consistency in taste and quality, but the distinct flavor they bring to every dish, especially their Butter Chicken and Palak Paneer. These two dishes have become my absolute favorites.
One of the key reasons their food stands out is the use of khade masale (whole spices), which infuse the dishes with an authentic, aromatic depth that’s hard to find elsewhere. It’s this thoughtful use of traditional spices that gives their food a unique edge over other competitors.
Adding to the charm of this place is the owner himself, who is incredibly sweet and welcoming. He serves every guest with genuine warmth and love, which adds a personal touch to the overall dining experience.
Dining here feels like revisiting a cherished memory each time, and I look forward to many more delicious experiences in the...
Read moreLocally super popular non-veg restaurant in Amritsar city. Having tried a couple of places for tandoori and mutton in this area (soooo many small shops for tandoori) this place is the cleanest and best mutton of all we had. The shop was a full of locals who stoped by for dine-in in the ac room, as well as continuous zomato and take away orders.
we ordered mutton tikka special, fish fry and garlic naan as their review was good. Mutton tikka is semi-dry gravy with mutton tikka which we had with naan. Superb. Fish fry is also great especially with mint chutney and onions. Tender and crunchy.
The owner himself was involved in the cooking and came to our table to check if we like food. Soft spoken and great nature. He is also a reason to go back.( while some shops are not nice to foreigners.) although everyone seems to order grill item in this review, locals were having gravy items and they all look delicious. We will for sure come back to try other dishes....
Read moreSurjit needs no introduction to the serious food lovers who come to Amritsar for the food. This eatery is located at a distance from the Golden Temple complex and in one of the nicer (read clearner) neighborhoods of the city. Now, about the food, we ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Amritsari Fish, and Mutton Tikka. Loooouuuvvveeed everything but (maybe an unpopular opinion) we did not like the Mutton Tikka much. The masala overwhelmed the whole dish, and though it looked amazing, there was considerable bitterness from the extremely fried masala. For the main course, we ordered Tawa Brain, tawa chicken with Naan. The main course was an absolute belter, with my personal fav being the Tawa Chicken. A must must must visit if you are serious about exploring the food scene in Amritsar.
The only issue was the slow service. There was just one person who was serving people at the restaurant as well giving away take aways to people who came to...
