1156AD Jaisalmer — Restaurant in Rajasthan

Highly disappointed, pathetic service, not recommended at all. I been to this place on my birthday on 21 0ctober with my family & friends but that was my wrong decision which i made as per the paid google reviews. I dont no from where to start since i entered the restaurant there was no one for the welcome and no one attend us for 14 minutes and than a aged service guy came and offered us the table. And with the shivering hands he layout the table. And without offering any menu to us he asked to order the food. Than we asked to change the service guy to Mr. Sher Singh the real hero of the story first he denied and than started serving us. He was not at all interested serving to us. When we asked for the beer he brought which we havent asked for and after serving the snacks he immediately brought the main course and when we asked to wait for 10 minutes Mr. Sher Singh replied my shift is over " mae khana yahin Patak kr raha hu aap kha lena" or else pack krva ke sath le jao, this type of attitude in hospitality is not acceptable at all, when asked him to call the manager on shift he said i am the only one, than we asked to call the owner than he said he slept whereas he was standing next to the tandoori section. When we convyed our whole story to him, he responded in the manner that he dont care about the incident and his guest as well, it seems that its a regular practise for him. Overall he and his team spoilt my birthdays. all of us have selfrespect and dignity and iam paying for what ever we was ordering but as per there behaviour its seems that they are offering the food for free..... Ohhh How can i forgot the dogs 🐕 who will alway be there to accompany during your meals. Pet friendly...

During my recent visit to Jaisalmer, I dined at 1156 AD Jaisalmer and had a good experience. The restaurant's ambiance is truly quiet, offering a perfect blend of peace and modern comfort. Its prime location, within walking distance from many nearby hotels, makes it a convenient choice for travelers.

As one of the few establishments in the area serving non-vegetarian dishes, it was a welcome relief for those seeking such options. The service was commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

While the menu boasts a variety of dishes, I found the Chicken Jaisalmeri to be somewhat overrated; it seemed like a standard chicken curry with a fancy name, and the meat was served in large, somewhat tough chunks. In contrast, the Hakka noodles and chili chicken were exceptional, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.

Opting for a takeaway, I was pleased with the prompt preparation and appreciated the provision of disposable plates and cutlery, making it convenient to enjoy the meal elsewhere.

Overall, 1156 AD Jaisalmer offers a delightful dining experience with its unique ambiance and...

We had dinner last night. All dishes we opted were of mild spice levels or rather I should say mild chilly level.

Good Bhuna Ghost dry Chicken Malai Tikka Lemon soda

Lal Maas.. after eating Bhuna Ghost we found its taste to be less exiting. I would anyday recommend bhuna Ghost over lal maas. One may find it good if you only have main course.

Garlik NAN .. it had less garlic than we are normally used to having. Preparation is different everywhere but just saying for my taste less or no garlic flavour was observed. Could also be because senses were saturated by Bhuna Ghost lol.

Service It was good initially when we first arrived as we were second to arrive I guess. Once it started to fill up it got bit slowed. But hey what's the hurry.. Good property slow down, relax enjoy the view around. The inside sitting was also really nice (we shifted due to cold). I just loved the unplastered archs made in stone. Impressive architecture. Some day my home also may get such an arch.. sapne hai.. 😋
