RIPPED OFF!

BEWARE of doing a camel trip with these guys - we were thoroughly ripped off here. The going rate for a sunset trip is 900 rupees, 1900 rupees for overnight including meals etc.

We were charged 2500rupees for a sunset trip!!!

This is what we were PROMISED A camel trek in a non-touristic area for sunset. A visit to a local village on the way. A visit to a camel place to see 100 adult camels with their offspring and a chance to try camel milk.

This is what we GOT No village visit A look at 30 or so baby camels jammed into a tiny pen A short camel ride in a littered part of the desert with much broken glass and rubbish around, signs everywhere pointing you to the next desert resort, other tourists going for their rides, and passing desert camps all along the way.

On the way, our driver was pulled up by the police, and we had to sit and wait in 40+ deg heat for over half an hour while he sorted out issues with licences/papers. Very unprofessional.

Our driver drove like a maniac, and as we were in the back of the jeep trying not to hit our heads on the roof over every judder bar, we had to ask him to slow down a bit as we both started to feel like we would lose our lunch, and we don't usually get travel sick!

This ended up feeling like a long drive for a short camel ride being led by a guy on foot.

Definitely not what we expected and very disappointed with our experience.

I arrived at 4am and I could sleep on the social area and I had breakfast :) the bed is very comfortable and the breakfast is really good with eggs, fruits and bread. I also had a great time with the others guests and staff’s members in a scooter adventure. I totally recommend :) the rooftop is amazing and they have beer. The Chris Cafe!!! This place is the coolest rooftop Cafe I have ever been to, hands down!! It's located right in the middle of the golden fort literally next door to the Jain Temple haha!! Great pano view of the city :) Since Chris set up the Cafe, he has brought a really chill vibe to the place ideal for visitors! I was there for the World Cup: He had a projector and sound system set with a lit up balcony and lots of food + drinks available from the menu! Great place for backpackers and tourists to relax, take in the city view and enjoy the sunset! Couldn't recommend this place enough, it class! Good luck Chris,...
