I was initially quite surprised to find Korean cuisine on the menu, but let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The kimchi pancake was absolutely delicious - perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavor.

The chicken mayo rice was a revelation! The spices were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was incredibly generous.

But Fotiya isn't just about Korean food. Their glass noodle rice bowl was unlike anything I've ever had before - a true explosion of taste and textures! Even the sodas tasted fresh and delicious.

The wait time was the only slight drawback. However, the clean washrooms, friendly service, and great views from the cafe made the wait more bearable.

Despite the wait, Fotiya Cafe is a must-try for anyone visiting Jaisalmer. We decided to visit this restaurant to enjoy some Korean food, as we had been eating Indian cuisine throughout our trip and were eager for something different. To our surprise, the waiter who took our order was also the chef preparing the Korean dishes. He was exceptionally friendly and even doubles as a tuk-tuk driver, offering rides to various destinations. He charged us 100 rupees for a ride from the restaurant to Jaisalmer Fort. While we’re not certain if this price is standard, we were happy to pay, especially given how delicious the Korean food was. A taste of Korea in the middle of India! We ordered kimchi fried rice and bibimbap, and both were so good. It was a welcome switch up from masala-flavoured everything 😂 the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and were quick to take our order. When we asked the chef how he knew how to cook such good Korean food, he explained that he learned from YouTube, amazing!! 👏

The restaurant itself is in a good spot, on the top floor of a hotel with the same name, on a quiet road.
