Lotus Cafe — Restaurant in Rajasthan

An excellent little restaurant - we went three times in three days. The location is nice, quieter than the Gangaur Ghat madness. Very cheap, too - at time of review a pot of masala tea is 50 INR, mains between 100 and 150, chapati 5 INR! Food quality is good (though we found the korma to be subpar). Best of all, the owner, waiters, and cook were incredibly kind and welcoming. They also offer cooking classes for 400 INR. It's less a traditional class where you chop and fry food than a chance to see the owner prepare food, but 400 INR buys you tea, an entree, chapati and biryani, plus the chance to see it all made and to ask any questions about the recipes. We went to this place for late lunch expecting nothing much. But to our surprise they prepared everything then and whatever we asked for (we asked for food which can be prepared immediately). So over all hospitality was good. Coming to satisfaction of my taste buds, hmmmm it was good actually, except for spiciness. Please mention for more chilli powder or pepper if u want food to be lil strong with flavors. The quality was good and the place was cozy, So enjoyed our late meal. The quantity was good that we had to get the leftovers packed. We ordered Special veg thali, Veg kolhapuri, garlic parata, banana lassi and lemon soda. I dint like their beverages though. Just ate at this Hogwarts Cafe, and I really like it. I was staying at a Hotel just 300ft from this cafe, and stopped in for a quick bite. Its Harry Potter themed, and who doesn't like that (if you don't you either haven't read the books, or have something wrong with you). The atmosphere is cool, and there was some nice toons playing in the background. I can see this as a nice local hangout. The Lime Soda was great (mint, lime, sugar maybe a hint of salt?).
