I recently had the pleasure of dining at Marwadi Bhojanalaya - The Royal Taste of Marwar in Udaipur, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience that left me utterly impressed. This restaurant truly lives up to its name as it offers a regal taste of Marwari cuisine that I won't soon forget.
First and foremost, the ambiance at The Royal Taste of Marwar is remarkable. The restaurant exudes an old-world charm with its traditional Rajasthani decor, which includes intricate wall paintings, ornate furniture, and beautiful handcrafted artifacts. It felt like stepping into a palace, and the attention to detail in the interior design was simply outstanding.
The highlight of my visit, of course, was the food. The menu is a culinary journey through the heart of Marwari cuisine, offering a wide array of dishes that capture the essence of Rajasthan's rich culinary heritage. I tried their thali, which was a delightful assortment of flavors and textures. Each dish was expertly prepared, and you could taste the authenticity in every bite. From the daal baati churma to the ker sangri sabzi, every item on the thali was a masterpiece. The chefs at Marwadi Bhojanalaya certainly know their craft.
The service was impeccable. The staff was warm, welcoming, and highly knowledgeable about the menu. They were eager to explain the dishes and make recommendations based on our preferences. This personalized touch enhanced the overall dining experience.
What's more, the restaurant also offers an extensive list of refreshing beverages and traditional Rajasthani desserts to complement the meal. The ghevar and mawa kachori were nothing short of heavenly, and the masala chai was the perfect way to end the meal.
The Royal Taste of Marwar is a place where you not only savor delicious food but also immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Rajasthan. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this restaurant is a must-visit in Udaipur. The combination of delectable food, royal ambiance, and exceptional service make it a standout dining destination.
In summary, my experience at Marwadi Bhojanalaya - The Royal Taste of Marwar was extraordinary. The restaurant offers a genuine taste of Marwar, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience in Udaipur. I can't wait to return to this culinary gem and explore more of their...
Read moreWe visited this place in our week long stay in Udaipur this month. We had dal bati churma thali, dal chawal for dinner on our first visit. The quantity and quality was good, but we had to climb all the way up to the roof as the first floor dining was occupied (there are only two tables), service was very good and the guy who takes and delivers the orders is very polite. He also guided me with our further tour plan. On our last day, we had a lunch here. Matar Paneer, gatte ki sabji with bajra roti, dal chawal. They also serve ker sangri and makke di roti but it was not available that day. This time we got the first floor sitting. Overall this was a nice experience. I don’t know if the guy who runs the show here daily is the owner or not but GIVE HIM A RAISE! He’s too helpful. Do not go to this place if ambience and a menu full of different items is a priority for you. They have a simple set up and short menu which makes it better in terms of food.
But there is always a scope for improvement and hence my suggestion is to have a small scale renovation, if not please have someone to maintain basic dusting and wiping. Overall 3.5/5. Recommended for food not for...
