Sankalp Restaurant - South Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Rajasthan

We were bored from north indian food, we were craving for south indian food. Specially dosa in mount abu. Hence visited Sankalp restaurant. Ordered rava dosa. And got "Cumins seed(jeera) rava dosa". It was un-eatable the only taste we got was jeera jeera jeera. When asked to the owner about it , in rude tone he said "Sankalp me esha hi milta hai". I've been to many south indian restaurant. Rava dosa means rava dosa. No cumins seeds crap. Atleast you should mention it in the menu. Also Sambhar had too much jeera in it. It didn't even had proper ingredients in it. After that we order plain dosa. That too turns out to be over salty. Utterly disappointed with the food provided in this restaurant. The only good point about this restaurant was the ambience. Forget about about the food.

Based on the experience of Sankalp food in gurgaon we planned to visit the same in mount Abu for good food but the staff behaviour, response to queries was not upto the mark. Even there was no power backup during power cut at the place. Not sure how chef manage to make food in dark. We tried for Mysore masala dosa and that was too much oily like it has been fried in oil or has been layered with extra butter in last. When we questioned to the staff that is it made like this or is it actually too oily then there was no response and they just took away the plate for replacement. Overall I can say you might not get the same feel. Its just the name which makes you visit this place.

I think not just investing huge for decoration and spreading franchisee will give you fame , food is quality by taste is poor , sambhar did not aste like South Indian, chutney did not taste like South, dosa was not like normal dosa . And in everything salt is more , Overall food here is bad , and rates are like 300 rs for dosa, 2 piece Vada 200rs, Asked the waiter why do costly, he said what he should not say , he said we are brand and here are tourists,we are not targetting local people, and tourist will pay even more . I think they are taking advantage of franchise and place. And on top of it all staff is Rajasthani and gujrati not even one South Indian in...
