Dawn Hill — Restaurant in Sikkim

We went for a dinner here on 24th July 2022. Initially, we ordered some snacks and mocktails which were good. But when I ordered next and which they served was little disheartening. I had ordered a stir fried noodle with oyster sauce and beef with broccoli. To my surprise, the noodle was so bland. The side dish beef with broccoli was a total disaster. The dish mentioned in the menu was stir fried beef with broccoli and what I got was beef and Bok-choy with the gravy made of corn starch. On top of that the beef was not fresh. I took a bite and immediately returned it. The waitress who came to attend us was experienced and is a capable employee. Was very prompt as well. As I was going to cancel the order for side dish....she insisted to serve us the fresh one. But when the dish didn't arrive in time, i requested it to be packed as a take away. As I was waiting for the take away order and when I had waited enough... I enquired with the junior waitress, she goes to the Kitchen to enquire but she doen't bother to intimate what is happening! Horrible customer service, treated us like damn dogs, we asked for a specific type of drink that me and my in laws enjoyed, and the waitress claimed that they do not have it, and gave us some other strong drink.nothing wrong up until now, but what really urged me to write this was that the same drink we asked for was seen by us being given to some other customer. Not only did she blatantly lie to our face, but also gave us some strong horrible drink we never even asked for. And also, never even mistakenly order the "Jumbo snacks" since the Jumbo only applies to chickens.The damn thing came with around 5/6 fries and some dipping , not so...

DAWN HILL, a fresh new addition to the Gangtok upmarket restaurant scene. It’s a good effort by the management, the menu is extensive and the ambience is one of a kind overlooking the green valleys amidst the bustling Gangtok town, but the food on the plate is not quite yet there. Let’s just say that the X factor is missing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good but not quite quite there.
