The Square Family Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Sikkim

It was one of the worst restaurant i hve been to in my life...and the statement the staff told m was so disrespectful n embarrassing...THE PLACE IS A BIG NOOO FOR ALL THE VEGETARIANS!!!

I ordered vegetarian Schezwan noodles....they served me egg Schezwan noodles...when i informed the waiter about this...he dint even say sorry and told "VEGETARIAN HOKE NON VEG RESTAURANT M Q KHANE AAIE HO (WHY DID U COME TO DINE IN A NON VEG RESTAURANT WHEN YOU ARE A VEGETARIAN) who gave the waiter the right to tell me this...just because I'm a vegetarian doesn't mean dat i can't go to a non veg resturant...then y do they hve a separate veg menu in their list????

the owner also is an impolite man who didn't even correct his staff or apologised for the same.... so offended i left the place and even told them if they keep behaving this way with all the vegetarian customer nobody would like to go to...

So this is an underground restaurant. It has two sections/seating arrangements - one more pub-like (dingy, sofas) and the other more restaurant-like(chairs, naturally lit). I chose the latter. The ambiance gave a good Tibetan cultural vibe. We ordered Alu Sandhaeko (the Nepalese potato-based starter) based on trip advisor reviews and a bowl of Schezwan Noodles. Alu Sandhaeko, to be honest, wasn't as unique or not-to-be-missed as we had read here, it tasted like standard aloo-pyaaz sabzi quite common in North India. So we came here on 26th for dinner & I am writing this again today on 27th Nov. great ambience; makes u feel comfy & warm. Staff is so sweet and hospitable :) (an extra star just for the staff)

Their piri piri fries were piri piri to the core ;) We had a Mexican bean burger and it was finger licking.

Overall we walked out smiling & content last night. Today is our last night @ Gangtok and we wanted to be here for our last meal in Sikkim.
