During my recent trip to Gangtok with three of my close friends, we visited Gangtok Groove on Thursday and again on Saturday, and both visits left a lasting impression on us — not just because of the fantastic vibe, but because of the exceptional hospitality shown by Aniket and the amazing team.
On Thursday, the place had a chilled-out vibe. The music was great, the food was enjoyable, and the rooftop setting added that perfect touch of magic. One of my friends asked the DJ if he could play a list of his favorite songs — and to our surprise and delight, the DJ played every single track from that list. It absolutely made my friend’s evening and set the tone for a memorable night. It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes about the atmosphere and customer-first mindset of the place.
Aniket, who served us that evening, was warm, professional, and extremely attentive. He helped us with menu choices, made great drink suggestions, and checked on us regularly without ever being overbearing. His service made us feel completely at home.
We came back on Saturday, which happened to be World Music Day — and naturally, the place was buzzing with energy and packed to capacity. Despite the crowd, Aniket had already reserved a table for us, knowing we were coming back. That single act meant so much, considering how full the venue was. Even in the middle of the chaos, Aniket’s service remained top-class — calm, responsive, and always with a smile.
If you are visiting Gangtok and looking for a place to relax, celebrate, or just soak in the local energy — Gangtok Groove is the place to be. And if Aniket happens to serve you, rest assured, you're in the best hands.

Read moreSharing my experience at Gangtok Groove restaurant situated at the end of MG marg. While the ambiance was pleasing, offering a comfortable setting for diners, it was overshadowed by the overcrowded atmosphere, which detracted from the overall experience. They allowed us to sit in the balcony where many smokers were already waiting for their food. The restaurant seemed to struggle with handling the influx of customers, affecting the quality of service and comfort. We have to change our place multiple times. The hot and sour soup lacked the expected flavors and depth, failing to impress my taste buds. Similarly, the hakka noodles did not meet expectations in terms of taste and quality. The dishes lacked the authenticity and finesse that one would hope for, leaving a disappointing taste.
Despite the promising ambiance, the overcrowded environment and subpar food made it challenging to fully appreciate the experience at Gangtok Groove. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to focus on improving food quality (especially Vegetarian) and managing crowd levels to ensure a more satisfying dining experience for their patrons.
BIG NO for Vegetarian while Non vegetarian can...

The dish arrived and i took the first bite hesitantly as i had low expectations but it was nothing like the previous one the way it was cooked was commendable! God i can still feel the taste. Special thanks to the chef although i don't know his name but he definitely had us hooked up to this place.
