I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a candlelight dinner at Sher-e-punjab, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance set the perfect tone for a romantic evening.

I have to give a special shoutout to the worker , Ms. Anita who truly went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, she made sure every detail was perfect for the surprise candlelight dinner I had planned for my husband. She helped me coordinate everything without ever giving away the surprise—perfectly timing the courses, Her professionalism and warmth made the night feel even more magical, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It’s rare to find someone who cares so much about making your special moment just that special. I’m so grateful for her help in making this night one to remember!

We visited Sher-E-Punjab, Gangtok for dinner and were quite disappointed with the experience. We requested to sit at a balcony view table, which was unoccupied but needed to be tidied up after the previous guests. Despite multiple polite requests, the manager (Safal Lama) and the staff refused to allocate the table to us.

The manager gave bizarre excuses, saying there was some “issue” with the table. Later, we overheard him telling others that the previous occupants had left without paying the bill, so the table was not being allotted — which made absolutely no sense and sounded extremely unprofessional.

The service overall was poor and extremely slow. The food was just okay — nothing special. The Manchurian was served cold, and many items listed on the menu were unavailable. Food was costly too.

As me and my wife travelled long journey from north Sikkim and was quite exhausted to cook ,arrived late in the evening,had no other option,but to order food from zomato.End up ordering from this restaurant,Our menu was simple 2 Naan,butter chicken and a chicken Biryani ..On arrival of our order,our whole excitement was shattered,the butter chicken contain only 2 small pieces of chicken with very sweet whitish gravy,chicken Bhayani was filled with red coloured gravy.
