Dhaba by Amber — Restaurant in Siliguri

We discovered this place by accident. Never knew this place existed and no one was talking about it. 1st and foremost this place is just brilliant right from the ambience to food. The management has really gave a serious thought about the decor of this place to give a real 5star dhaba look and believe me they did a very good job 👍🏻 ( check out our photographs ) . Food was really finger smacking good. You order anything INDIAN or Chinese, tastes delicious 😋. The chef Mr. Banerjee is too good at his job. We ordered Veg pulav, Kashmiri Aloo , Malai kofta with naan , Veg fried rice , chicken fried rice, chole kulcha, fish finger, chicken noodles, soups and everything was delicious. The texture of the food and the presentation was top notch. The only place where they lacked is their service. They were not in prompt with delivering the orders and restaurant was not even crowded on a weekday evening.There is a scope of improvement in this department which they can really work on. This restaurant has the potential of becoming one of the best food joint in siliguri if they fill up their gaps in the system. So after a self proclaimed quarantine of eating out, we finally stepped out to celebrate my birthday. As it was a family dinner, we were looking for family restaurant. Google suggested Dhaba by Amber and the ratings were good so we decided to venture that.

Decor: The interiors were warm and welcoming. I liked the small punchlines pasted on walls. The small elements of Pind life was interesting.

Food: We ordered veg and non-veg dishes from the main course. I loved their Singh Saab Chicken, the meat was juicy and the gravy was delicious. The taste of this was so overpowering that I didn't enjoy the veg portion much but my fellow diners liked the veg dishes. Have to visit few more times to try the other dishes from the menu. The ratings will change with further visits :)

Our server was very well trained, he took really good care of us. We ordered as per his suggestions and I am happy for that.

The only thing that irritated us is the small font of the throw away menu, it's a task to read it in the dim lights. I think they should give magnifying glass...
