Func Bar&Kitchen — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I went there on a Friday night and paid INR 2000 for the stag entry. The ambience is pretty good with club vibes. People started coming in after 8 and that's also when the DJ started playing. The bar stools were a bit low though. The washbasin taps in the bathroom almost touched the sink. I wasn't allowed to take any of the tables, apparently they're for 2 people only, the single patrons are relegated to the bar and a long "common" table. I tried a couple of their new and signature cocktails. The Berry Bang was pretty bland. The Manga Miracle was surprisingly good though, especially with the glass rimmed with spices. They serve you spiced peanuts, with sliced carrots and cucumbers, which is really unique. From the food menu, I tried the Func Kovai @641043. The dip was tasty, but the chicken legs were mostly bone. The rum meat balls were really good, if you like spicy stuff. To finish off, I had the caramel custard with brandy, which was a bit harder than usual, but tasted good. The Purple Haze shot was sweeter than I expected...

Situated in #6 hotel, this bar has reset the standards for pubs around in Coimbatore.

For one, their interiors are unique and eye catching. The cassettes on wall is something really cool. The lights, big screen and the DJ console are perfectly placed. They give you a trippy feel inside.

We ordered three long Island ices teas and couple of starters. The Madras masala fish fry was delectable. Haven't tasted such a preparation anywhere else. The chilli chicken was good too. The spice quotient was apt and super spicy like in other bars around. The presentation and food handling also praiseworthy.

The drinks were quite strong as told to us by our waiter. The cocktail was smooth nevertheless. The service is polite friendly and quick. The music being played was equally trippy and the DJ did an amazing job. I would specifically vouch for this place among all places around in Coimbatore if good trippy music is sought for. Would love to go again....

One of the best ambience I have ever been in. Saturdays will be crowded. On all other days, it would be the best place to hangout with friends if you are not a party lover Music is good. Side dishes are good especially chicken tikka and beer battered chicken fry. Even the main courses are great. Signature cocktails are up to the mark and in house cocktails are great. A small feedback which was noticed was few cocktails are supposed to be served with crushed ice but they served it with ice cubes. That's a small change which can be corrected in coming times. Overall, best place to hangout and its a new identity in Coimbatore for party people. The manager Arun is so friendly and listens to the customer feedback and delivers the best hospitality. Keep up...
