Ganga Sweets & Restaurant in Velachery has been one of my go-to places for both sweets and meals. Over the course of several visits, I’ve found their offerings consistently satisfying. The sweets are especially noteworthy, prepared with pure ghee, which adds a rich and authentic flavor. From traditional Indian favorites like laddoo and mysore pak to an array of savory snacks, pickles, podi, and even popcorn, the variety is truly impressive. I'm seriously reconsidering whether this restaurant even deserves a single star. We visited over the weekend, and here's why I'm this disappointed

We were made to wait an unnecessarily long time, and the manager seemed completely indifferent to our presence. He asked us to share a table with strangers, who were just as uncomfortable with the idea as we were.

After about 10 minutes, a table finally became available. However, instead of letting us take it, the manager insisted we wait for it to be cleaned(alright). Before we could move, someone else rushed in and took the table, and the manager didn’t even bother to explain that it was already ours.

Eventually, we did get a table, but when we asked the waiter for the menu and started ordering, he kept saying "not available" to everything we asked for. We ended up settling for three items

Noodles: soggy and flavorless Chilli Parotta: cold and mushed Dosa: burnt and pathetically small

Service-honestly, a sloth could have done better. Ironically, the same waiter who seemed uninterested with us was enthusiastically listing the menu to another table.

The worst experience I had with ( Velachery ganga sweets branch). No proper waiter/ server for food service to table. No proper hospitality. My pant was damaged (fully torn) because of their damaged chair which was provided in the table. When I told the same to counter manager, he was very keen on getting money from the costomer. He didn't even had the basic sense to ask minimum sorry for the incident happened to me ( when I ask them about damaged chair provided in the table, the billing manager simply told that this and all normal and he told that if this happen to me incase of any mishaps outside i shall not raise issue likewise he ask me to consider this incident) . I was planned to go to mall after lunch and because of this incident i returned back to my home without going anywhere with my family. Taste of food also very worst.

Ganga sweets, please do learn and teach minimum level of respect and business ethics to your franchise owners and managers. We pay for what we have including your tax too. So give us minimum level of respect. I was in the shame position infront of many customer. Even then your manager was not even ask sorry for that.
