The FreshlyMade - Resto Café — Restaurant in Zone 13 Adyar

Discovered The Freshly Made cafe quite by accident as I had seen it multiple times while driving past Velachery area.

Decided to 1st try it during lunch time and when we entered it was empty with not a single table occupied - so we were a little apprehensive but decided to give it a try!

We ordered vegetarian food as it was a day we were avoiding non vegetarian food... The service took sometime and we had to wait for about 20 mins... But when the food finally arrived, much to our amazement, it was BRILLIANT & ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The sandwiches are loaded, but the quality of the bread is good enough to hold it in place and not let it crumble and fall apart! The French fries and coleslaw served as accompaniments to the sandwich are one of best and freshest I've tasted in a restaurant!

The Peri Peri grilled cottage cheese steak is an absolute must try if you can deal with spice! The quality of ingredients and taste was supreme!!

We've visited it at least 5/6 times by now and every single time they have maintained standards, quality and quantity! We've tried their mushroom soup, veg lasagna, chicken tenders and hot n spicy chicken wings - each of these items are really good! Recently tried their grilled chicken - which I felt could have been better! But can't complain it was bad - just that the chicken and sauce could have better flavour, but the accompanying sauteed veggies and mashed potatoes were really good!

I'm yet to try their coffee, desserts and pizzas... The pizzas look really appetizing and can't wait to try those soon!

The space is limited, but well worth squeezing into for the food! The ambience is better in the evening with nice music as compared to the day time. Service is friendly, but a little slow and laid back... Despite the minor flaws, this place is definitely value for money and a must try if you're...

Right from parking till we departed, the service staff and the security person were very helpful. The food, the ambience and to a large extent, the service were all great. Though the menu was highly limited, the available food was good. The highlights of our dinner were the Kunafa starters(both veg and non-veg), the Italian hot chocolate and the chicken stroganoff. The kunafa starters were simply great, though the person who served it mixed up the veg and non-veg kunafas. The Italian hot chocolate was not as dense as it was supposed to be, but tasted as good as a normal hot chocolate. The chicken stroganoff was more than sufficient in quantity and was good. The other items we ordered were a garden veg pizza, Alfredo chicken pasta, tiramisu and filter coffee which were all good. The only inconvenience we had was during payment. Our bill had come to around Rs 3800/- and both my credit cards had low credit and it would have been convenient for me to have paid the bill with partial amount from both the cards. But the service person flatly refused to do so and I was forced to pay with one card alone. Thankfully the transaction was not rejected but my card balance became negative. If the restaurant has some flexibility with paying though more than one card, it would be helpful for customers when they have low balance in their cards. Other than this, we had a great time at the cafe.

Update to the owner: Thanks for your response. Do you mean to suggest that customers can order online even for dine-in? I am asking because none of your staff told me about the online ordering option and your website only lists pick-up and delivery options. Hope you read this and...

A small quaint Cafe cum restaurant located on the main road of Velachery with limited seating space (hardly 10 tables) and tight off street parking space. Though it was an impromptu late lunch plan, this place pretty much had everything from their menu but what was surprising was the sequence they served stuff. We were befuddled seeing the drink come first followed by the pizza and then the skewers starter.

Hazelnut hot chocolate - Too sweet, thick hazelnut flavored drink with marshmallows on top, but, hazelnuts on top of the drink would've been even more kicky 🫡

Peri peri chicken pizza - A thin crust maida based pizza with decent cheese toppings but loads of flavored chicken; mild spiced, gooey, could've been even better with any dips 🤔

Tangy Greek chicken skewers - Perfectly cooked chicken marinated well in tangy mustard sauce and served with tzatziki sauce (which didn't go well with me) and a salad; the meat was tender, juicy and a sumptuous plate on the whole 😋

Traditional Zurich with herb rice - A creamy mushroom stew base with loads of crunchy veggies like Zucchini, carrots, broccoli, Caramelized onions served with fragrant herb rice; the stew was top notch with perfect flavors, ain't too sweet but creamy and well cooked rice was the perfect accompaniment 🥰

Brownie chocolate milkshake - Mild sweet coarse milkshake blended with chocolate and the brownie all over; no hint of icecream but the chocolate sauce made it thicker 👍

On the price front, they fall in the mediocre category with lots to improve when to comes to service and uniqueness. There's nothing much to say about their versatility while their...
