Geetham Restaurant, OMR – Great Food, Poor Service
I recently visited Geetham Restaurant in OMR, which is known for serving good quality South Indian food and being open till 2 AM—a convenience for late-night diners. However, despite the food quality, my overall experience was quite disappointing due to poor service and mismanagement.
Upon entering, a waiter mentioned that the front tables needed cleaning and asked us to move further inside. We followed his instruction and got seated. After placing an order for kichadi, we were suddenly told by a different waiter that this section of the restaurant is only serviceable till 12 AM, and to get kichadi, we would have to shift to the other side of the restaurant—which was barely 10 meters away. This logic was baffling, and the lack of internal coordination was clearly visible.
What was more frustrating is that this information wasn't communicated to us while seating, even though it would have saved both time and effort. The wait staff seemed disoriented, and no one had the basic courtesy or training to speak professionally to customers. It's unclear whether they were overworked or simply not trained well, but the overall service quality was severely lacking.
This isn't an isolated issue either. I’ve had similar negative experiences at their T Nagar and Pallavaram branches. The common complaint across Geetham outlets is always the same: poor crowd management and untrained staff.
That said, it's undeniable that Geetham enjoys heavy footfall due to the consistent quality of food, which is their saving grace. But if the management does not seriously address the ongoing service issues, the customer experience will continue to suffer, regardless of how good the food is.

Last week, I had the pleasure of dining at Geetham Veg Restaurant located on OMR Thuraipakkam, and it was an experience worth sharing! As a vegetarian, I was excited to explore their extensive menu, and I was not disappointed.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is simple yet charming, creating a comfortable space for families and friends to enjoy their meals. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt welcomed right from the start.
The menu offered a wide variety of South Indian dishes, along with some North Indian options. We started with the crispy vegetable pakoras, which were perfectly fried and served with a tangy chutney. For the main course, I opted for the classic dosa with sambar and coconut chutney, while my companions chose the paneer butter masala and a thali meal. Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the thali, which provided a delightful assortment of different dishes, allowing us to sample a bit of everything. The flavors were authentic, and it was clear that fresh ingredients were used in every preparation.
To top it all off, we indulged in some delicious desserts. The gulab jamun was soft and syrupy, making for a perfect sweet ending to our meal.
Overall, my visit to Geetham Veg Restaurant was a delightful experience. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere made it a memorable dining outing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious vegetarian fare in the OMR area!

What was more frustrating is that every time we are asking regarding water water water!!!! And moreover ask sambar chutney like sidedish.but the overall service quality was severely lacking.
I am escalating this issue to manager and he is replied very cool that may be staff gone to rest room and I am asking how many workers are there and I am keep on asking water and rest of the side dish also.they served me very delay.
I hope the restaurant takes these issues seriously and works on improving both their service and the value they offer.fair treatment of customers, and partiality table wise customers. Very very poor worst service and partiality service.plenty of employee are standing like statue in dress shop.asking 2 or 3 times asking the food only they are active.
All the managers are chilling in a corner and customers are just waiting for food forever.
I sincerely hope the management takes note of this feedback.
My rating option is -1 because there is no option for -1 for poor service and partiality service.
Whenever I will visit waiting time is 10 - 20 minutes and people are waiting with kids.they are paying for food moreover you are not providing free food or social service to wait them for long Time. Don't interfere your business competition in people's health and waste their energy and time.Always Creating demand that restaurant is always crowd and housefull but 1st floor is available at anytime.just showing their demand...
