A Feast to Remember – Except for the Nungu Pudding!

Let’s get this out of the way first the Nungu pudding was just average. The consistency was good, but the flavor didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

Now, onto the stars of the meal! The Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani were absolutely amazing flavorful, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. And no, it’s not just the Eid season hype; I’ve heard their taste has been consistently top-notch over the years.

The real showstopper ~ The Half Tandoori Chicken. I’ve had it multiple times over the years, and hands down, this is the best tandoori chicken I’ve ever had. The masala isn’t just slathered on the outside it seeps deep into the meat, making every bite juicy, smoky, and packed with flavor. I seriously can’t get over how good it is! If only I could have this every day but being a true Chennaite, the travel is the only struggle. 😜

This is a review of their food ordered online. We had chicken fried rice, egg kothu Parotta & garlic chicken. The chicken fried rice was splendid. However the kothu parotta was simply too mushy, it didn't require any chewing, one just has to swallow it. The garlic chicken had a ton of oil in it & the chicken itself wasn't very well cooked. I remember having garlic chicken from months ago which was splendid. Not sure if the cook changed or the menu, or if it was from a different branch. it is one of the many branches of HMR hotel in Tamil Nadu. this one is in Coimbatore near gandhipuram. it's in a busy intersection so there is no hope of parking for cars, but bikes and scooters can adjust. I had grilled chicken and beef biriyani from HMR Coimbatore. the grilled chicken was juicy and rich in masala and flavor.
