It was a Team Dinner yesterday of 20 people from Shell Petroleum, paying about Rs.6000 per head for ร  la carte Chrysanthemum.

The lotus stem, tofu and coconut ice cream were great!

Other starters like stir fried vegetables were 'ok', and some were horrible. The main course was just noodles & Gobi Manchurian, white rice & i think a coconut based gravy. The taste was poor, worse than a road side restaurant ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ (But to be honest, two or three of my colleagues liked it, but most of them simply had to gulp a few spoons to satiate their hunger pangs).

Most dishes seem to have vinegar in it and so unsuitable for many Indians. For the price they charge, Indian taste & individual preferences should be asked for each dish to each individual. Considering we paid over 1 lakh rupees altogether, that there was almost no individual attention (which we get in other nice restaurants in Chennai) at all left me speechless.

I had veg, and my non veg colleagues too rated the food as "ok".

And the desert was just that coconut ice cream!!! What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????

And as expected in such restaurants, the service was as slow as a snail, with the managers escalating twice.

The ambience is fine, nothing memorable.

Such a huge waste of money... Never again to this restaurant.... ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž

And by the way, the parking lot was pathetic for a hotel...

Pan Asian at ITC Grand Chola is a culinary haven that truly elevates the dining experience. From the moment you enter, the ambiance speaks luxury โ€” a sophisticated setting with warm lighting, stylish interiors, and an open kitchen that lets you witness the magic of Asian culinary artistry unfold. The service is impeccable, with staff who are both courteous and knowledgeable, making every guest feel welcomed and pampered.

The menu is a celebration of the finest Pan-Asian cuisines, offering an impressive array of delicacies from Japan, China, Thailand, Korea, and beyond. Each dish is a masterpiece โ€” beautifully plated and bursting with authentic flavors. Highlights like the dim sums, sushi platters, Thai green curry, and Korean barbeque are executed to perfection. The chefs clearly pay close attention to detail, using fresh, high-quality ingredients and balancing flavors with finesse.

Whether you're indulging in a quiet dinner or hosting a special celebration, Pan Asian offers an experience that is both memorable and luxurious. Their wine and sake pairings, along with vegetarian and gluten-free options, make it suitable for every palate. Itโ€™s not just a meal โ€” itโ€™s an exquisite journey through Asia, right in the heart of Chennai. Highly recommended for those who crave authentic tastes and five-star...

It is not a 5 star experience. We went for the Sunday brunch at Pan Asian ITC Grand Chola. It was an underwhelming affair. The food i.e., the ingredients, preparation, plating are sub standard. Service is on par at ones you receive in idli cafes in Chennai - nothing wrong with that but you see there is a difference in price you pay at ITC. Acknowledging the rather poor service and food, we received a 50% waiver on the bill. This was a good gesture but one we didn't want walking into this place.

If you don't know what pan-asian food is, you can go in here and get mesmerized by the garbage they serve. If you are expecting good stuff - sorry you're out of luck. The resident manager looked me up on LinkedIn after my poor review on Zomato. I sent him an invite following that hoping to discuss how this can be prevented. He didn't care. So if you have money and are looking for a good place to spend it, you should probably consider other places. Go to a place where you are valued and respected. I am sad writing this because my previous experiences at ITC Grand Chola have been nothing short of magnificent. Times change and this place has...

We were there for the Sunday brunch and it was such a letdown - every single course of the meal. No nigiri or sashimi, some average quality maki (in comparison Leela's Spectra brunch has tuna, salmon and other nigiris and sashimi). The dimsums either had skin peeling off or so gooey that they were sticking to the palate. The appeitisers were unidimensional - batter fried prawns, stir fried lamb and chicken, all on the spicy side Worst were the main course - two non-veg choices - chicken and basa, batter friend with corn flour and dunked in some sauce - two of the cheapest proteins available in the market with a cooking method that every roadside joint in India uses (coat with corn flour, deep fry, dunk it in a sauce) The dessert spread didn't have anything Asian about it. For a restaurant that is supposed to cover some of the most amazing cuisines of the world - Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese (Sichuan, Cantonese, Shanghanese, Hainan etc.), it has to be a combination of cost cutting, lack of imagination and poor skills, to end up with this.
