I have been wanting to try Gujarati cuisine after watching an episode of "Raja rasoi aur anya kahaniyaan" on disovery+. I found this place serving home-cooked Gujarati foods through a casual search on google maps in the area surrounding my house in Madipakkam. I placed an order just 2 hours before, not aware of the fact that she had to purchase the ingredients and cook everything from scratch. Nevertheless, she was kind enough to accept the order and also cater to my mother's preference for less spice in her food. We tried the following : 1) Mixed veg rice dal khichdi 2) Thepla (both normal and sweet) 3) Phulkas with bottle gourd mix with dal subji. We loved it, considering my mother who is a picky eater. They have a very friendly approach and are considerate of individual tastes. The owner voluntarily offering to adjust spice level to suit my request.

Been a long time since I had authentic Gujarati food (on a trip to Bharuch in 1998) - this will probably be as close you can get to that. Very honourable portions sizes too.

Home made authentic Gujrati food, tasty and simply best, mild in taste without any unwanted masala. Affordable as you don't get these varieties usually in South Chennai. Tried three times and all were best. Will order again whenever want to try Gujju food, till I taste all the items which I have not tried yet, without travelling to North 🤗
