IDINE CHETTINAD VIRUNDHU — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

We had food from this restaurant just a few minutes ago....have to say one of the absolute worst experiences ever.........there was nothing available except for chicken biryani and mutton biryani....we were so hungry that we were forced to choose the chicken biryani......we received the order in a few minutes...we were so flabbergasted to see the biryani which was dark grey in colour....needless to say it was the worst biryani we had ever had.....the biryani was served with chicken curry which tasted like thick turmeric water...we had to force ourselves to gobble down the served biryani only to be shocked yet again after seeing the price of the biryani ...the biryani was so overpriced that we could have found better biryanis at road side stalls......the attitude of the workers especially the staff incharge and the staff at the reception counter was the absolute worst....they keep staring at you that you feel so judged every second of your stay at the hotel.....we were so happy finally to leave this bismal hotel....while at the billing counter to painfully pay our bill we overheard the staff incharge welcoming another group of people very warmly and when asked about the menu here he specifically mentioned tjat they had everything including chicken and mutton biryani....idli..chapathi...parotta...chicken chettinadu curry and so on while when we asked about options other than biryani he said they hadn't prepared anything as of yet and that everything else will be available only after 7 pm......we kindly request eveyone wishing to enter this hotel to not do so and save...

We stayed in the hotel and had a meal at this restaurant and the food was okay. But while myself and my kid waiting for a cab and my husband, we stayed in the restaurant for a while and the receptionist person WAS SO ARROGANT WITH US, AND ASKED US SO IMPOLITELY "GO OUTSIDE, YOU CANNOT SIT HERE" , JUST LIKE TREATING STRAY DOGS, after having lunch at this restaurant. THE TREATMENT WAS SO ARROGANT AND PATHETIC THAT WE FELT EXTREMELY BAD. Definitely the restaurant management should reconsider appointing these kinds of people in reception or in staff. Humans should be treated with courtesy, especially if they are your customers. CUSTOMERS ARE GODS,...

Visited this place when I had been to Coimbatore a few weeks ago. Even though the ambience is good, the food was just average. Service also needs to be improved. We tried out Chilli Babycorn Manchurian, Pepper Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Carrot Halwa with icecream. Chicken Tikka Masala was not at all recommended as there was too much of raw taste of masala in it. Pepper Chicken was decent and I am glad that Carrot Halwa became a saviour when I was striving for some desert after a disappointing Chicken...
