Please read my review:
I entered the hotel it was an average hotel. Non AC. Lots of hustle. I and my friend had 5 Kal dosa(normal dosa in Chennai). I went to billing counter and he asked 250 RUPEES. i.e. 50 RUPEES PER PIECE.
In Chennai kal dosa prices are Rs. 10,Rs. 15(mostly) and if it's a good restaurant it would be Rs.25. But they charged Rs.50 PER PIECE. In the menu Kal dosa price is not mentioned too. I really liked the taste but it's not worth of 50 RUPEES based on the material(rice mav) used in that and the service they provide. They provided a bill which doesn't even specify the (GST) tax applied to it. All the customers going there please collect a valid bill.
In Chennai there are so many good restaurants but no one will price like this. Just visit this place try Kal dosa and please comment back whether it's worth it or not. If you still feel that this is worth I'm damn sure you don't know about Chennai I can suggest 10 better place than this.
I just discussed with the owner why are you charging so much. What's the reason and he just replied, if you want to eat then you can have otherwise just leave. But before asking this I have already ate and even paid. But it's not about money more than that it's about the value you are getting to your money. I think 15 rupees for the dosa I had was more than enough. Taste was good. I don't have any complains but it's just I'm sharing my personal experience with you. Service quality and processes could be improved.
I understand it's a very busy place.
Server could acknowledge (a simple nod / ok) will help understand whether our order will be taken care of. Sometimes, it might get delayed if server forgets/misheard.
Queueing system could be improved, as people crowd the sort of semi circular cashier table.
I'd suggest only one way IN and other way Out, so that people can't jump queues. Billing for both parcels and Dine-In should be at the same entry, that way it will be simpler and not bunching up in front of cashier.
Also, for parcels, they could use a number call-out system, to distribute quicker at a separate waiting area or in front of...
