Subway Guindy — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The only decent Submarine sandwich chain in Chennai -yet, way too expensive for unknown reason.

The above statement, I'm not glad about that. Over the last few years Subway has closed 1000s of locations over the globe for varied reasons. Here is one reason I'd like to share now.

Why subway has become expensive? 6 years back people used to flock in subway outlets, but now it looks deserted. Sub of the day offers has been removed, though new varieties of subs has been introduced its way too expensive for 6inch, even the basic subs are quiet too much, and hefty taxes. Inflation? I know some restaurant chains maintain a fair price still. But not subway.

The most basic veggie delight 12 inch costs 259 and with taxes its 314 INR. 6 years back it used to cost less than 220 bucks for a footlong.

Well heres my review for the outlet I visited Food is great, decent subs, hygienic, same taste, love it. But the price thats charged for what they cater seems like a rip off. With a price like that, subway can't sustain in Indian market for too long. Period!

I love Subways ever since I came across it first time in US, probably a decade ago. The 6" parmesan bread with all fresh cut vegetables of our choice, lettuce, corn&peas spread, black olives, pickled cucumber pieces, shredded cheese topped with thousand islands sauce, etc is mouth-watering while being prepared in front of your eyes. The freshness,taste and low calorie but feeling stmoach-full are the delighters. Strongly recommended for all, especially for veg-lovers, diabetes, and the weight-conscious. It's just on the cornor Velachery signal on Raj Bhavan road, opposite hoter Park Hyatt.No car park nor valet parking is provided...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is the only Subway I visit in Chennai — mainly because of the amazing staff! The lady here is always so polite, calm, and super sweet. 🥹🤍 She gives the best service every single time!

Me and my friend stop by here whenever we head to Little Mount metro, and honestly, we sometimes go just because of her — that’s how good she is! 🤌🏻✨ Such a kind soul.
