Great Asian food, disappointing menu
Mr. Ong is situated on the verandah of the buffet restaurant. It's got limited seating and hence it's generally crowded.
I've been there multiple times, but the service was consistently sub par. They have a selection of bubble teas - they're alright on some days and disappointing on others. They're not consistent.
Coming to their food, all the dishes we ordered were quite tasty. However, the biggest disappointment is their menu selection. They have very limited appetizers and many many gravies (accompanied by manto buns). The staff made no effort to tell us that the dishes we ordered were gravies (despite us asking them). The chicken and lamb skewers are good.
The main course is definitely one of the better things about this place. The dishes are great.

Read moreWe have been wanting to try out this place and were glad to do this. Wonderful Ambience, limited seating, and I have yet to come across service that was so cheerful and so good in a very long time. William who took care of our table was superlative in the way he presented himself, the way he interacted with us, his constant smile, his knowledge about the food and always willing to go thar extra mile to make us comfortable. Food was really good, we had the Singapore Chilli Prawn( will surely try the crab next time), lumpia, Kway tweo, Hainanese Chicken rice and some Bokchoy. Every dish was really good and have to come over again to try other dishes. If yiu want good Singaporean and Malay cuisine it's a place that one should try. Thank you Willam and team for making this a wonderful meal and...
Read moreA breath of fresh air literally! Firstly, Mr. Ong has a beautiful outdoor setting which takes your dinner experience a notch higher. The staff is super friendly and they truly understand the dishes that they are serving. Coming to the main topic, the food is amazing! We loved the the entrees and the main course. The Laksa and the Nasi Goreng were clearly the best in town I've had so far. In the starters, the satay is very authentic and mouth wateringly good. My friends and I even had another starter which was out of this world - Chicken Momo with spiced coconut curry. We couldn't find it on the menu but it came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. I'm definitely going to go back there again soon and be a glutton as it's...
