Hope these my words may helpful to people who are looking for rooms and restaurant in this preethi hotel at ooty. Plz read this.
Me and wife wr stayed in preethi hotel for 3 night and 4 days in room number 103.
Super delux room 103 ws very nice, Very big room, nice TV. I am attaching those photos, please look into that..
Hot water is available from morning 6AM to 11AM.
Drawback in this room ws With blanket only. They should clean blanket neatly, for this reason we took 3 blanket seperately. Those blanket wr ok..
A person names with Vishal, he s very nice guy, he communicated with us in kannada nicely. He is good human being. Whatever we required in all time, he used to serve without angry, so he is nice person.
Food in this hotel ws ultimate, we had Utthappa, Masala dosa, Roti Vegkhadai, South Indian meals, Pongal, tea. So totally nice hotel.
I want to say something about this, We r pure vegetarian, I searched this hotel in various site, and finally decided to stay here, before I reach hotel, I called hotel, there one person named as Mahalinga, basically he is from karnataka only. He spoke in kannada by phone, he told me like he will arrange transportation everything, I thought he is good. When I reach hotel I saw him, spoke with him, he treated me very bad.
He is waste person In this hotel. He don't know how to speak with customers, especially we r kannadigas he is also from kannada, but he treated like we r from outsider.
So plz once u reach hotel, don't speak with this person. Morning when I wish good morning to him no response from him. I try to speak many times becz he is also from karnataka but he is going far from us. So finally decided not speak with him.
I heard that preethi Hotel owner is from Mysore, dear sir or manager of this hotel, plz tell to ur Mahalinga person, how to behave and communicate with customers. Plz tell to him how to speak with other people.
Also don't take transportation facility from this Mahalinga person, why am telling becz I took 2 days outseeing transportation from him, I payed 1000 Rs for two days, but transportation people will waste our precious time. They used to pick up from different hotels so till 11AM morning they will pick from hotel. After 11AM they r leaving ooty and they ll take us to different places surrounding of ooty. First day is ok but 2nd day transportation is very worst worst..
Other than this person all employees of this hotel r very nice.
Location of this hotel is nice, you will get medical shop, auto stand, bus stand. Also botanical Garden is 1 km from this hotel. Railway station and bus stand is only 1.3 km from here.

Read moreI am giving 1 star to this hotel and their service as I can give only this much minimum star rating. I have been this hotel for 2 days.. worst service they have provided... This hotel is absolutely not recommended.... Please mark my review below. 1)Firstly they have given very very tiny room. We asked to change the room then they gave a little big room only after had discussion with Tour service owner. 2)They didn't even welcome us with glass of water.... We called to reception and asked to send water.. then they gave us hot water. 3)seating arrangements was infront of Washroom. I seriously Do not want to write about hygiene of washroom. 4)we noticed shampoo bottle was in comode so asked to staff clean it but then reply was like... "No problem ! Sir". 5)coming to food quality and food service now... a)breakfast and dinner was included in our tour package.. but irony is they told only idli,wada that too 1 piece and one of the item between uthappam, pavbhaji and aloo paratha and 1 piece will be only given .. after that everything will be payable. b)My family member was not feeling well so we asked to send food in room and they asked for money as they said room service is payable you will have to have it in dining area only. They told us this when we asked it. c)We ordered dal rice , the taste was pathetic... Even small restaurants makes it very delicious... Read more1)We faced with lack of oxygen in the room, we unable to breath, ofcourse cool climate, corner rooms not have oxygen, hence can put a fan to get good breath. 2) Reception guys torcher. (check in 10am means fear for 2 hours customers will use extra time for 2 hours till 12pm) cant give buffer for 2 hours for regular customers. 3)4th floor, Housekeeping short guy wont care customers. 4)Rooms will have odour lack of maintenance. 5) Always customer dont know what are the rooms are in hotel and price. management has to say truth if they are true.
Above 5 points rectifies by management for future i will give 5 star.
We stood at preethi palace for 3 days last week. We had a good comfort to my family last year and this time we choose same hotel. But we got disappointed, hotel guy soorej decided the premium room but it was very bad. I got quarrel with hotel reception guy kumar and other old guy, they will let us wait till check in 12 pm noon but we reached hotel 10am itself. Halfday will be waste of time. I paid full amount for 3 days on day 1 itself. I got pissed of with bad premium room. Hence hotel management Every day they changed the room to us. compensated with suite room on 3rd day and super deluxe room on 2nd day. Why they suggested a bad room and took money for all days.
