Read more2 of my friends and I went to the restaurant yesterday. We chose the place because we had had biriyani from the place during our previous visit to ooty and the experience was quite nice except for the fact that it was heavily priced. But yesterday it was a complete disaster.
We went to wash our hands and the taps did not have water. Instead they had kept a bucket and a mug for the customers to wash hands. In a place where you charge ₹190 for half chicken biriyani this is never acceptable whatever the reasons are.
We order 3 half chicken biriyanis to eat. The order didn't take long. Within a few minutes food arrived at our table. Out of the 3 biriyanis, 2 had decent sized chicken pieces but still not equivalent to something you'd pay ₹190 for. The 3rd biriyani had a chicken piece that was only a size of a human thumb. Again, none of the things that had been happening justified paying ₹190 for a half biriyani.
My friend asked the person who took our order to have a look at the size of the chicken piece and either give him another piece so we won't feel like idiots when we paid ₹190 for it. At first the waiter didn't feel like wanting to give him another chicken saying "that is a leg peice and it will be like that." Finally the waiter asked him to place his chicken in the cup and took it back to the kitchen and brought another piece which in my opinion was also not very different from the first disaster piece.
Besides the handwash area not having water in taps, the restrooms were also a complete mess. But you know what, people put up with a...
Read moreExtremely unhappy with how you treated us in peak times last week (15 Apr 2022) when we visited Ooty. It was Friday evening almost at 7 30ish we entered this hotel. This early as there was lot of rush in entire Ooty where customers were queuing up outside almost every restaurant. First it was the man who cleared the plates. He left the cleaning the table half away. Almost 20 mins later waiting for the menu card we see the same man who cleaned our table handing over menus to customers who arrived after us is when we lost our nerves. On facing him, he gave some wierd rude answer (language barrier too) He was not in a position to even answer us. We blantantly asked another waiter. He too had no answer. It looked as though we are not South Indians is the reason why your waiters had been so partial and not treating us well or wanting to serve us food. The customers on the other table turned so kind they handed over the menu that was on their table. The customers understood us not your staff. Please give a piece of advice to your staff not to loose their cool in peak times and treat every customer the same way. The third waiter finally served us well and we appreciated him too. One star just for the way you guys treated us. Would have given three for food - Chicken curry,...
