What a lovely experience! It's been ages since I've visited black pearl and my recent visit to this place was really amazing.

Located on the ground floor of the complex, it's very hard to miss this place due to eye catching outdoor decor. The ambience inside is lovely. It's a pirate ship themed interior where every corner is a selfie point. I must say it's a well balanced interior design and it successfully transfers you to the other world. Tables had a modular barbeque pit and upholstery were comfortable. There is a separate bar counter for drinks and the other area is divided into other food sections like Chats, desserts, live sweet counter & main buffet counter. One thing I really loved about this place is they have two different wings for Veg & Non Veg buffets which avoids a lot of confusion. There are some selfie spots specifically designed for photo enthusiasts.

The service was very friendly, humble and professional. Our table was taken care of by 2-3 stewards. And they frequently kept checking upon us. They served the food on time and constantly took the feedback over the taste & quality. They served barbequed as per your request and their gesture was really nice. The only down thing is, they took long enough to get us the final bill. I guess they didn't want us to leave.

We started with Barbeques, I liked Pineapple & Paneer Barbeque. However, the masala used on barbecue felt like missing some key spices. Starters like Gobi Manchurian, Cajuan Potato, Crispy Corn & Fritters were good. Tasted pulav, red sause pasta in main course. Pasta had only mushrooms in it and the sause was too much for my liking. But, Pulav was good. Chats like Pani Puri & Dahi Puri were really good. I tried Almond Barfi, Jalebi & pastries in desserts and I loved it. I also ordered drinks like prates kiss & Caribbean Mango which were good. Overall, the food quality and taste were satisfactory.

They accept all kinds of digital payments including cards, UPI, payments from third party dining apps (Zomato & Swiggy). They add Service charges at 10%. They were not serving alcohol at the time of visit.

I recommend this place for their unique theme and great service. There is improvement required in the food and buffet spread. However, you can give it a try. I'm sure you'll have a good...

Bad experience with this restaurant... Sunday Slot booked online for 1.30 pm for 6 persons . In my view complete improvement required in all areas ... like from entry .. No one there to guide parking .Have to wait for more than 15 minutes to find the valet /person ..

Only one lady struggle to handle table allocation at reception ..more than 25 waiting .. for more than half an hour.. Finally she allot a table with water Leakage from AC .. When we inform she said wait for half an hour more if you want a different table.. If there is no table then slot should be closed in system ?? she is rude and not customer friendly..

Food service started after 10 minutes and it is just dumping on table ..No water provided till end ..No one around to ask.....for long time .

Barbecue quality is average .. like prawn become rubber .. panner with raw masala etc....

Live music with full volume .. feel like you are in dance floor / Market place ....not in restaurant

6.Main course routine menu.. No rotti option .. only rubber like Nan.. It is too difficult to reach buffet counter for those sitting at entrance area seating .It supposed to be placed in center for easy access .. each on-site counters are ducked in somewhere and no signs ..

Dessert range is limited routine one .. taste average .Difficult to find unique one ..

Wash room is stinking ..No ventilation .

It took more than 30 minutes with 6 followup to get Bill.. No one at counter to pay ...have to search for .. wonder how many left without making payment !!

Seriously need improvement else you have to live with one time customer.. Very few staffs to handle full crowd.. resulted with unhappy customer.. Not sure this kind of messup happening only on Sunday or everyday ??

With my experience I suggest.......only with no option you can choose this place ..else big No .. No value for money too...

Sorry to comment like this ... but fact.. Hope mgmt will look in to it and address issues for...

Located in the heart of Chennai, The Black Pearl offers a unique dining experience that combines elegant ambiance with delectable cuisine. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the restaurant's stylish decor, featuring dark wood furnishings, ambient lighting, and nautical-themed accents that pay homage to its namesake.

The menu is a fusion of continental and coastal Indian flavors, with a strong emphasis on seafood. I highly recommend trying their signature Black Pearl Seafood Platter, which showcases an assortment of perfectly grilled fish, succulent prawns, and tender calamari. The Malabar Fish Curry is another standout, boasting rich, complex flavors that transport you to the coastal regions of South India.

For vegetarians, the Paneer Tikka Masala and Vegetable Biryani are excellent choices, prepared with aromatic spices and fresh ingredients. The cocktail menu is equally impressive, with creative concoctions like the "Pearl Diver" and "Captain's Rum Punch" complementing the food perfectly.

Service is generally attentive and knowledgeable, though it can be a bit slow during peak hours. The staff is happy to make recommendations and accommodate dietary restrictions when possible.

Price-wise, The Black Pearl falls into the upper-mid range, but the quality of food and overall experience justify the cost. It's an ideal spot for special occasions or when you're in the mood to treat yourself.

One minor drawback is the limited parking space available, so consider using a ride-sharing service if possible.

Overall, The Black Pearl is a welcome addition to Chennai's culinary scene, offering a memorable dining experience with its blend of flavors, ambiance, and service. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or simply looking for a new place to explore, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Tip: Make sure to book in advance, especially for weekend dinners, as the place tends to...
