HOTEL GANESH PALACE — Hotel in Pamban Island

We staid here on a spiritual mission and were guided this was where we should stay. The staff and management are literally living Angels. They went above and beyond to make our family of 6 feel welcome and help us find our way around. The other guests were likewise awakening saints or Angels we were honoured to share a temporary home with. I recommend anyone coming to this area to connect with God and local culture stay here.

I am giving 5/5 despite others complaint about water odor... I grew up on a farm with well water. I am also a holistic health practitioner and regenerative medicine specialist... This is an island. The water is well water with high sulfur content due to the water being purified through volcanic Earth. Sulfur makes the water have an odor like fresh boiled egg and slight yellow color. Sulfur baths are actually very healing and increase your bodies glutathione which is part of how the people of this island are more healthy than inland Indian population... I highly suggest they simply make it a bragging point at admission... I suggest you as a guest take long hot showers. Your skin will feel amazing!

Overall, a disappointed one. The rooms were booked through Agoda. The pictures of the rooms had not resemblance to what we got. It was 2023 December and we reached the hotel by 8pm, so we didnt had any options to stay somewhere else. We booked 3 rooms for 2 days, but next day, we just exited the hotel. The issues were, rooms were not clean, the bedsheets were having black marks (which they said its due to weather), the toilets were not working (flush issues), the cups for water were dirty. The night staff was really a good person. Forgot his name. But the staff that was there when we checked in was too bad. Confronting experience. Initially they said, they cant do anything as they know its peak time and we are not going to get any other rooms. Service: we called the hotel reception and the receptionist is very rude and asked us 2500 for one night and was not even willing to guide us properly. And later we booked through a booking platform and got the same room for 1860.

Parking: there is no parking for this hotel and we had to park on the road infront of the hotel.

Service: They didn't even give us waterbottles. The guy asked us 20 rupees and got one local brand water bottle.

Hygeine: you can see in the pictures that the bathroom is the worst. It's a white bucket that turned into yellow. And bathroom is not well maintained at all. The bedsheets had marks on them and the towels are not good at all.

Overall it was a bad experience. We had to stay here because we reached Rameshwaram at night 9 and was too tired to search for other options and other reviews...
