A really cool new place in Kilpauk . Opened hardly 2 weeks back and already it is highly popular . At times it might even take upto 30min just to place your order . The rates are reasonable and the taste is also great . Had ordered using the Kaching deal . Have tried 3 ice tea's till now C V raman , Einstein and Newton , lemon flavor is very strong in all of their ice tea but for the price paid it is decent. Their Bao Bun are really famous and the Chilly Paneer bao bun is the best of the lost . The bun is very very soft , dont confuse it with a burger bun as this is different . Inside it you will even find chilly potato's as fillers along with other stuff , it tastes delicious . It is said that the look of the food also has an influence on the taste, here the bao bun are presented to you in a very fancy way which makes you happy before you can even have a bite . In Starters The Crispy Chilli Potato are a little spicy but at the same time are too sweet which beats the purpose . Tofu/Paneer in pepper overdose was the only starter i disliked to the very core , it was just too too oily and was not good in taste . The spring roll was the best amonst the starters , got 6 pieces of it and it was really good and best in this category . Whether you like the Wok or not is totally dependent on you as you are the one to choose what had has to be added . Have tried 2 noodles wok and both were nice . Heard that Mallaka was the most spicy sauce for the wok but i was disappointed as it was not very spicy but the taste/flavor was something different . The Sichuan sauce made the noodles taste like any other Sichuan noodles and nothing class apart . Had ordered one rice wok with black pepper sauce . The taste was good but at the same time too simple and again nothing class apart . Pepper flavor was spread in every rice grain . The rice was sticky at the same time . The quantity of the Wok were really good and anyone's stomach will be full with 1 wok w/o a starter and ice tea. Overall the experience was really good . They do have other items on their menu which is yet to be tried . Waiting for them to start delivering on Swiggy , Ubereats and Zomato also as the place is very small and crowd is more the wait time is long for your order to...
Read moreI go to noodle theory a lot, and absolutely adore the food and ambience! I love their tempura sushi and their playlist is amazing!! i come here all the time with my friends and family, and it’s truly a great place- but a recent encounter urged me to write this review. recently, i went to noodle theory on a very crowded night, and there was a long queue so we waited outside after adding our name to the waitlist to be seated. Outside, there were 2 girls in front of us, and a family behind us. once the 2 girls had been seated, we went inside to check if our turn had come- since no one had come to update us for the past 10-15 minutes. we saw an empty table, and thus sat down as we assumed it was our turn after the 2 girls. Unfortunately, a few minutes later we hear the owner yelling at us from across the room to get up, he said and I quote that ‘I will not serve your table’ as he had not seated us. Now while I agree that we should’ve waited to be seated, the mode of communication was very impolite and I think that the staff should’ve approached us personally and explained the situation. They then proceeded to make us get up and give our table to the family who came after us. I do agree that we should’ve waited to be seated, but the owner yelling at us from across the room in that way was very impolite and not the way he should’ve treated us, whether or not we waited to be seated- and this could’ve been handled more efficiently in a diplomatic way, keeping customer service in mind. It was sad to see this happen because I truly adore the food and this place overall- definitely one of my favourites; but service...
Read moreThe Noodle Theory! Heard a lot about this place and decided to give it a try. So here we get to make our own noodles by choosing the ingredients and the sauce from the list of options available. 1.Our choice of noodle was flat noodles with mallakka sauce which red chilli basically with veggies. The taste was different and didnt go that well with the noodle, the sauce was spicy but it lacked the flavour. Crunchy lotus stem- this was the first time i tried the lotus stem, i loved the taste , the mild tangy flavour and the crunchy texture of it. Totally worth. Chilli Paneer Bao- that was the time when bao's were hitting the spotlight, the bao buns were too mushy and fluffy which made it feel like the chilli paneer filling was too less. It lacked the balance. Moving on to the drinks and dessert Loved the names which they had quoted for each, which itself was kinda attractive and made us to go for a drink. Our choice was Abdul Kalam & Einstein- the abdul kalam drink was a herb based lemonade , tasted like a lemonade but we felt the lemon squeezed in it was a bit old. The Einstein was a berry based iced tea, which tasted a bit like a tonic because of the strong flavour of berry i guess. And finally ended it with KitKat Brownie- the brownie was bit dry but the taste was good and chocolatey. The ambience was good and service was quick. Overall an nice place for some different types of noodles, but just need a little improvement in the taste. Just wanted to add this note , the reviews are subject to personal experience. So it may vary...
