NEVER EVER VISIT! Reasons why you shouldn't dine here:
Pathetic Service: So this incident happened on a Dinner night. Went to this place around 8:30 PM, and no one bothered to take order from us for straight 30 minutes. Finally got to order Chicken Lollipop, Garlic Naan, Chettinad Veg Curry, Subzi Biriyani. We waited until 10:00 PM to taste cold Chicken Lollipop, where Chicken was just 4 in number and French Fries was abundant. The waiters suddenly went into ghost mode (disappeared) for one hour with no food on any table around us. When everyone started to question, the waiters had no idea of what is happening. Later after 15-20 minutes, they took very big effort (adding some sarcasm) to come and tell us "We do not have any of the items you have ordered". Adjusting still to them as we were hungry and it was already late, we took Chapatti as they mentioned that alternative. Chapatti came half cooked with a cold Paneer Makhani. The waiter still told that he will bring Subzi Biriyani in another 10 minutes, but later he just vanished. What kind of pathetic service can a 4 star hotel give you?
Pathetic Managing team: Having all the mistakes and blunders, still they wanted to talk back of us and scold us. Few of them who occupied the table didn't know Tamil, and that looked like an advantage for waiter Mr. Vijay Kumar to talk at the back saying "saavadikranga thoonga vidama" (killing us without allowing us to sleep). Is this the kind of attitude a person should possess? No team co-ordination. People are fighting amongst themselves about "why should I take order". The Managing Head had the worst attitude as if he wasn't aware of anything happening around. He is very much ready to keep repeating the same dialogue again and again saying "Sorry, we didn't expect this today". PS: I am ain't blaming them without reasons, but the entire team had complete idea of what is happening and still they act like innocent people.
Pathetic Food: Food is not even Good. It was cold most of the time. Half-cooked.
Please do not get mesmerized by the view to get fooled. Enjoy the View and stay here just for the ambience and not...

While in Yercaud, my husband and I came across a banner for Chicken Plantain Parota at The Orange Restaurant—and we just couldn’t resist! That tempting poster led us straight to this place for lunch, and what an experience it turned out to be.
The restaurant has both indoor seating and an outdoor section that offers a breathtaking view. Though we chose to dine indoors, the surrounding fog created such a magical atmosphere that it still felt like dining amidst clouds.
We kicked off our meal with their Chicken 65 Nachos—oh my god, I’m still drooling just thinking about it! Crispy nachos loaded with juicy, well-spiced chicken and bursting with flavour—it was hands down worth every bite and every penny. We were also served a complimentary welcome snack, which was a pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious.
Then came the star—Chicken Plantain Parota. This was our first time trying it, and as the staff carefully unwrapped the banana leaf, the aroma instantly hit us—warm, rich, and incredibly inviting. The parota was hot, flavourful, and the chicken filling was perfectly coated in spices. Every bite was pure comfort food at its best.
For the main course, we ordered the South Indian Mutton Biryani. The mutton was so tender, the masalas deeply infused, and the dish was cooked to perfection. It was a hearty, satisfying end to a fantastic meal.
Yes, the pricing here might be a little on the higher side, but trust me—it's absolutely worth it for the taste, quality, and overall experience.
Adding to it all, the view was surreal. As we ate, a thick blanket of fog rolled in—you could literally feel the fog around you! After lunch, we took a walk near the pool area, and the entire place was covered in mist. It was like stepping into a dream.
If you're visiting Yercaud, don’t miss The Orange Restaurant. Come for the food, stay for the view—and let the flavours and fog...
