I booked and came for a sunday lunch here. Now, The buffet here costs about 999/person plus tax. It is both of vegetarian and non-vegetarian. There is both indoor and outdoor seats available to eat. The service was really good. One of our friends family stayed here last night before I came. The chef can also customize the morning breakfast according to our wish wish it seems. In lunch, the Mutton biriyani has hardly few mutton pieces. The dishes in the buffet arrived very late than usual. Desserts were very good. They also have the Russian salad which you should sure give it a try. And food menu are as usual as in other star hotels. There is no compromies in the quality of the food. The resort here comes with a swimming pool, with a sunset view. There is a small garden like place where kids can also play. Better to reserve and go for the resort or restaurant especially in the weekend's. Atlast if u ask me will it be worth it, absolutely not! 😅 but you can visit here atleast once for the experience, and mainly for the ambience of this place.

We recently stayed at Hotel Grand Plaza and overall, it was a delightful experience. The location was stunning, nestled amidst lush green hills with breathtaking views. The accommodation was cozy and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after days spent exploring the surrounding area. The resort's facilities were top-notch, including a refreshing swimming pool, rejuvenating spa services, and a variety of recreational activities to keep guests entertained. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. Dining at the resort was a highlight, with delicious meals served at the on-site restaurants that showcased local flavors and fresh ingredients. The ambience was tranquil and inviting, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings. Overall, I highly recommend this Hotel for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway in the hills. I would definitely consider returning in the future to experience more of its charms."

It's in Grand palace hotel. Ample parking place. Excellent view point and neat and clean. Initially we got annoyed as the staffs were not responding properly and were rude to avoid customers. Then, however, we got the place to sit,but they were late to give menu card and offer water also. We could not see any smile on their faces. They were entertaining guests who are staying in the hotel and not others . But one of the staffs, came and took our order and spoke to us occasionally about the food. He spoke very well. Before going we met two security guards who were very friendly and asked if we want to take photo. One of them were Davidson. He took our photos very professionally. Food was good and great quantity. Ambience was OK. Old decor and furniture. We had pepper chicken, sweet corn soup, murgh hyderabad and veg fried rice.

NEVER EVER VISIT! Reasons why you shouldn't dine here:

Pathetic Service: So this incident happened on a Dinner night. Went to this place around 8:30 PM, and no one bothered to take order from us for straight 30 minutes. Finally got to order Chicken Lollipop, Garlic Naan, Chettinad Veg Curry, Subzi Biriyani. We waited until 10:00 PM to taste cold Chicken Lollipop, where Chicken was just 4 in number and French Fries was abundant. The waiters suddenly went into ghost mode (disappeared) for one hour with no food on any table around us. When everyone started to question, the waiters had no idea of what is happening. Later after 15-20 minutes, they took very big effort (adding some sarcasm) to come and tell us "We do not have any of the items you have ordered". Adjusting still to them as we were hungry and it was already late, we took Chapatti as they mentioned that alternative. Chapatti came half cooked with a cold Paneer Makhani. The waiter still told that he will bring Subzi Biriyani in another 10 minutes, but later he just vanished. What kind of pathetic service can a 4 star hotel give you?

Pathetic Managing team: Having all the mistakes and blunders, still they wanted to talk back of us and scold us. Few of them who occupied the table didn't know Tamil, and that looked like an advantage for waiter Mr. Vijay Kumar to talk at the back saying "saavadikranga thoonga vidama" (killing us without allowing us to sleep). Is this the kind of attitude a person should possess? No team co-ordination. People are fighting amongst themselves about "why should I take order". The Managing Head had the worst attitude as if he wasn't aware of anything happening around. He is very much ready to keep repeating the same dialogue again and again saying "Sorry, we didn't expect this today". PS: I am ain't blaming them without reasons, but the entire team had complete idea of what is happening and still they act like innocent people.

Pathetic Food: Food is not even Good. It was cold most of the time. Half-cooked.

Please do not get mesmerized by the view to get fooled. Enjoy the View and stay here just for the ambience and not...

My recent stay at Grand Palace Resort in Yercaud was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled amidst the serene hills, the resort offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and warm hospitality. What truly made my experience memorable was the outstanding service provided by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure a delightful stay.

Orange Restaurant Team – The dining experience here was fantastic, thanks to the attentive and courteous staff. The ambiance, coupled with delicious food, made every meal enjoyable.

Mrs. Nithiya (Receptionist) – She was extremely welcoming and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in process with her warm smile and helpful nature.

Mrs. Aruna & Mrs. Rimpi (Food Service) – Their hospitality in the dining area was remarkable. They were always prompt, polite, and made sure every request was taken care of with a personal touch.

Mr. Gopal (Live Counter) – His engaging and cheerful demeanor at the live counter added a fun element to the dining experience. He was always ready with recommendations and ensured guests were well taken care of.

Mr. Gowtham (Tea & Coffee Service) – A master at his craft! His perfectly brewed tea and coffee were a highlight, served with genuine warmth.

Mr. Prasanth (Chef Incharge) – The food was consistently delicious, and it’s evident that Chef Prasanth and his team put great effort into crafting flavorful dishes. A special thanks for accommodating special requests!

Miss. Vasanthi (Housekeeping) – Impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail in the rooms. She ensured everything was spotless and comfortable throughout my stay.

Final Thoughts Grand Palace Resort is a must-visit in Yercaud, not just for its scenic beauty and luxurious amenities, but also for its wonderful staff who make every guest feel special. Their dedication and hospitality truly set this resort apart.

Highly recommended for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway!

Would love to visit...

Delicious Food with a Dreamy View!

While in Yercaud, my husband and I came across a banner for Chicken Plantain Parota at The Orange Restaurant—and we just couldn’t resist! That tempting poster led us straight to this place for lunch, and what an experience it turned out to be.

The restaurant has both indoor seating and an outdoor section that offers a breathtaking view. Though we chose to dine indoors, the surrounding fog created such a magical atmosphere that it still felt like dining amidst clouds.

We kicked off our meal with their Chicken 65 Nachos—oh my god, I’m still drooling just thinking about it! Crispy nachos loaded with juicy, well-spiced chicken and bursting with flavour—it was hands down worth every bite and every penny. We were also served a complimentary welcome snack, which was a pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious.

Then came the star—Chicken Plantain Parota. This was our first time trying it, and as the staff carefully unwrapped the banana leaf, the aroma instantly hit us—warm, rich, and incredibly inviting. The parota was hot, flavourful, and the chicken filling was perfectly coated in spices. Every bite was pure comfort food at its best.

For the main course, we ordered the South Indian Mutton Biryani. The mutton was so tender, the masalas deeply infused, and the dish was cooked to perfection. It was a hearty, satisfying end to a fantastic meal.

Yes, the pricing here might be a little on the higher side, but trust me—it's absolutely worth it for the taste, quality, and overall experience.

Adding to it all, the view was surreal. As we ate, a thick blanket of fog rolled in—you could literally feel the fog around you! After lunch, we took a walk near the pool area, and the entire place was covered in mist. It was like stepping into a dream.

If you're visiting Yercaud, don’t miss The Orange Restaurant. Come for the food, stay for the view—and let the flavours and fog...
