I had a very disappointing experience. I came here because of the buffet, where I can find usually fresh fruit and veg and avoid allergens. When I arrived, I asked about the buffet and was told it was only at breakfast. So being tired I ordered from the menu, explaining to the waiter 4 ingredients to exclude from my order of grilled vegetables. The order came including two of those ingredients, that I asked to avoid. They put in items that are not vegetable, fruit and cheese. The vegetables which the waiter had listed to me - cauliflower and potatoes- were not included. The food didn’t appear grilled but covered in oil. For this just ok meal and a small soda I paid over Rs.700 After I started eating the waiters suddenly stocked the buffet. Had they not misled me, I could have waited a few minutes and eaten the...

Visited the place yesterday.... Ummmm it just looks good. The food was quite bad. The dishes were extremely bland to the extent that the fish tasted raw. Not worth a bit to visit this place. The waiters and managers where showering all the love to the goras(Atithi Devo Bhava)😂😂😂. There is an active algorithm to please the atithis. This is very unfortunate and unprofessional. The great management can watch the security devices to check. In fact I overheard a black suit instructing one of the waiters to look after the Atithis (நல்லா கவனி). Ignoring all of the unprofessionalism of the black suits, the F&B department needs a reboot. Also the wise people watching must make the place more professional and ensure good food if you charge 5star...

This is our second time in the hotel. Last I came in January 2015. Of course premium quality is why I came back to the hotel the second time as well. For vegetarians there are myriad choices from continental to asian to Indian. Mostly everything has garlic so if you have an aversion to it then ask before hand. The staff is helpful especially Anand, who took pains to get our chai order right. He always has a smile on his face. The dinner service was also a good experience. Veg biryani and shahi tukda was good. Special compliments to the chef. The breakfast sambar was really good and home style. We are still staying at the hotel so will edit if required. Overall we like how we are being...

I stayed in the hotel and had lunch in the restaurent. I ordered chicken fried rice, dragon chicken and crispy prawn. About the good things the chicken fried rice was excellent and the price was worth it. The service was nice too On downside dragon chicken was too oily and it was not crispy as I would have expected. Likewise the piri piri prawn was too oily and did not have any it was bit bland and did not have any piri piri touch to it. The presentation of food was very simple and did not match the high price I paid for and definately require updates to the presentation

Okayish taste, some dishes were salty. What's appalling was to see lack of local delicacies but many of regular North Indian gravies filling the menu. Tandoori roti had many burnt spots, non palatable. Almost no choice of a native dessert, except ilaneer payasam, which wasnt available when we ate. The Vaalaipoo pakoda was good, and glad to see that in the menu. Tad expensive for the taste and service being offered.

Good restaurant in Thanjavur when it comes to ambience and service. It's more expensive than most other highly rated restaurants in Thanjavur. The food is good, but nothing unique or special, just what you would expect from a typical restaurant. Location is convenient and there is ample parking.
