I went to Vascos for my team lunch. This was the first restaurant I visited in 2018. It was a good start I should say! Ambience Th restaurant is located on the third floor at Hilton and shares the outside space with— Vintage Bar and Ayna. This is a beautiful space with plants and pretty pools on top which couches are placed. Extremely soothing and relaxing. Food This was a huge spread and the dishes are spread across the restaurant (I love walking while eating, you obviously get to make space for what you eat next 🤷🏻♀️). Service We had extremely good service at the restaurant and people are always there everytime you need them. We gathered here for a farewell of a team member and they were sweet enough to give us a cake. Overall experience Great food and amazing experience. My team felt that there weren’t much options for the vegetarians and those who are adjusted just to the Indian palate and don’t explore other Cuisines. To me, clearly South Indian was missing. We were actually full from tasting everything from the spread. I recommend only those with good appetite to dine here since the spread is huge and you need long hours to eat here for price you pay!

Average tasting food, decent spread for main course, poor service. booked for dinner buffet through dineout. we were given the last table and ambience was good and restaurant was quiet. even the restaurant was full we were able to have our food without noise / disturbance from nearby tables. not sure it is because of the table location or lack of resources they took 20 mins to even fill water. there were few items in the live counter (Pani puri/paniyaram) and i had to go and ask multiple times for that to be served. On one occasion i was standing in the counter and no one bothered to check. there were more than 5 persons manning that counter but all of them were busy plating some thalis. no one cared about the dine-in guests. coming to the food, had limited option for salad and had lot of starters for veg. except for momo and peas kabab none of other starters were good. They also have DIY soup where they give veg broth nd toppings separately. broth was just warm and tased average. they had good number of Indian dishes for main course, but limited choice for deserts. while i didn't try any main course or desert, others in my group who tried them rated them poorly. For INR 1700 it was disappointing experience. There are better options in chennai.

**Restaurant Review: Vasco's at Hilton** I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vasco's in the Hilton, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We began our meal with some delightful starters: the Karuvepillai Prawn Fry, Vegetable Croquette, and Paneer Tikka. Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing a perfect blend of spices and textures that truly set the tone for the evening. For the main course, we indulged in Ghee Rice paired with Kozhi Varutha Curry. Bisbelabath, Vegetable Curry, and an assortment of Indian Breads. The mains did not disappoint; the Ghee Rice was aromatic and fluffy, while the Kozhi Varutha Curry was rich and comforting. The Bisbelabath was hearty and satisfying. The Vegetable Curry complemented the breads perfectly. The Indian Breads were warm and fresh. Overall, Vasco's offers a wonderful dining experience with an impressive array of dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a sophisticated setting. I look forward to returning for another fantastic meal.

Update: A pleasant turnaround! We went to the Vasco's restaurant in Hilton Chennai for Valentine's Day dinner. It was a rather disappointing experience in terms of the food arrangement, and I left a Google review describing the same. A few days later, we were contacted by the head chef Mr. Mothi Krishnan who apologised for the incident and invited us for a buffet meal. We were greeted by Chef Dinesh who guided us to a neatly arranged table of our choice. The whole experience exceeded expectations -- food items were segregated in terms of veg and non-veg and neatly labelled and colour-coded. Ladles were kept separate, dishes were hot, desserts were neatly cut into pieces and everything was just perfect; a complete transformation from our earlier experience. The chefs were kind enough to also present us with their special dishes which all were hot and tasted really nice! Overall, we loved the food, ambience and the professionalism. We sincerely hope that the same is followed on all days for all guests, maintaining the standards that Hilton stands for. Looking forward to dining at Vasco's again! Recommended!

I’ve had lunch buffet here at Hilton Vasco’s, Chennai. Below are my opinions based on my experience, 1. 2K for one person including the tax for Lunch buffet, definitely not worth the price. 2. No welcome drinks. Extra cost from your pocket. 3. Non vegetarian starters such as fish oyster and fish fries were very good in taste other dishes such as Andra Kongura chicken and chicken tikka was utterly average, in the sense it was very hard to chew and doesn’t taste as a fresh chicken. 4. Live counters for pasta and pizza’s were available, didn’t have the time to try those dishes. 5. Deserts were average too, such as fresh cake pastries, mango pastries, Vanilla pastries, brownies and ice creams. Great ambience and located near Guindy metro, good for official office meets but not for family or friends outings.
