When I entered the place the Ambience was top notch and peaceful. I ordered 3 dishes... Crispy honey potato Chicken pan fried momos Lefu Chicken (Recommended to us by the Owner himself)
1.Crispy honey potato tasted decent but the potato they used was the same type and texture used in French fries..So I can say it was rather FRIED FRENCH FRIES IN SAUCE rather than Crispy honey potato( obviously you have use different shape and size of potato for this dish) I can confirm this dish was not Authentic (I was Disappointed as I expected better)
After disappointment from first dish then come Chicken momos...It was good. You can try once.
CHICKEN LEFU WAS THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT. I expected this to be the signature dish of the place as the owner himself suggested me the dish. Chicken was not at all tender and it felt like it have been made by mixing old and fresh chicken. Consistency was also bad. (It tasted so weird the I literally had to confirm from owner whether it really chicken or not as they sell pork and beef also) I regret not making the owner taste his own recommendation.... At last I realized maybe he was just experimenting his dish on me. I know this dish is of different culture and made differently but the tongue knows what is tasty and whats not rt!!
2 stars for Good momos and Ambience
P.S to the owner- NEVER SUGGEST DISHES TO CUSTOMER...
Read moreAfter reading many nice reviews about Wawa's restaurant, we decided to give it a go on a Sunday which is supposed to be peak day with best service than on weekdays with lean crowd n lethargic services as everywhere. But, our expectations were totally dashed with at 1:30pm ( not too late for lunch) the service took longer with hardly 2-3 tables being occupied ( we recieved our dishes only by 2:30pm). Cons: First the mains came and then we had to remind the owner about the starter that we'd ordered. Secondly, the cleaning lady an old native who was clueless as to the cutlery and serving dishes provided us only with side plates for our food Lastly, the much hyped about food came.....very sad ....the Butter garlic fried rice had half cooked rice in it, not edible. Then the starter which was Kurkure momos was even more a disaster. It's universal knowledge that momos have to be steamed first before frying. That crucial step was totally missed out and when we cracked open momo everything was raw with the maida covering. Totally disappointed. I've temporarily lost faith on Instagram food reviews for having hyped this outlet. We basically abhor food waste, so either we finish off at restaurant or pack up the rest for consumption at home. For the first time we were forced to waste food which...
Read moreVisited Wawaâs on a friendâs recommendation and I wasnât disappointed at all!! My family and I loved the food and enjoyed everything we ordered. Itâs the place to go if you are craving for some North Eastern food. We ordered the Pork Thali, Chicken momos, Devil chicken, chilly chicken garlic noodles and some lime sodas. The momos were very authentic and juicy. The noodle was also super yumm. But my pick would be the Pork Thali that was served with fresh pork cooked with fermented bambooshoot, kimchi (which was surprisingly really nice), boiled veggies, sticky rice kheer & steamed rice. The pork pieces were big & generous. And the sticky rice kheer was such a winner, I absolutely loved it.
The best part about our meal was the generous portion size. The prices are also very reasonable. They have outdoor and indoor seatings. The indoor seating is on the floor, but if you arenât comfortable with that, you could always opt...
