Yari — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Generally I do not write reviews about the restaurants and definitely not a negative review but today I am forced to do so.. I also went through the recent reviews about the restaurant which are not good.. I validated my observations

I have heard about this restaurant and my son suggested this restaurant for a new year lunch so we decided to go there after booking a table in advance.

Our first experience while we entered the restaurant during the peek lunch time was we had to manage walk safely the floor/entrance without falling because of the wet floor that was neatly mobbed with cow dung… their intention was good but the timing was not right.

We occupied the table reserved for us and settled down, then we realized the smell of the cow dung… We with the good intention to the captain informed that the cow dung is smelling so the he can take care for the other customers who walk in the restaurant.. Because it was wet an comes along with the slippers if we step on it but to the answer we got from the captain was shocking - sir there are other customers who are sitting closer to that. Till then I did not notice the captains attitude. He did not know English/tamil and we did not know hindi but we could find out that is not the issue it is his attitude .. Through out the time we dined there his attitude was the same we felt that with the words/the way he spoke with us and his other colleagues were not like him.. They were polite and courteous.

Overall I would say it looks like their standards have coming down and the captain's behavior proved it.

Yari in Bharathi Park 6th Cross Coimbatore is a renowned place for North Indian and continental cuisines. (Vegetarian). Chats and desserts are noteworthy items. Dinner timings till 10 pm. Nice ambience and convenient seating. Jain options are available for most of the items is a highlight. They do not use ajinomoto and other artificial colours/flavours and hence it is not harmful for our digestive tract. Almost all the dishes are good and tasty. On the flip side : little pricy (eg a simple dhal kichdi costs you INR 190) however the taste and quality makes up for the price, little longer than usual time taken for service & special requests (eg for a glass of hot water, i had to make multiple repeated request) and when it is crowded especially in the weekends, you have to wait for your time for atleast 15-20 mins before you get a seat (I am not sure whether the restaurant allows you to make an advance booking/reservation).

Toilets and washing areas are maintained clean. Employees are courteous and helpful even for choosing your dishes & providing info on the special menu items for the day.

Leave alone the flipside, the taste, quality, hygiene factors make up for it and would recommend this for families with elders / senior citizens to give it a try for a sumptuous dining experience.

Visited again yesterday 7th Aug. Nothing has changed from my previous visit. Go ahead and...

We nonchalantly dined in into Yari. We ordered chilli broccoli and after almost gulping half the plate, we felt the corn flour wasn’t cooked properly and we gently raised as a concern and requested Vimal sir to pack the remaining.

But Man, he stepped deep into customer shoes, he made us wait pretending to pack the remaining, but what we got was a surprise. He bought a fresh plate of chilli broccoli served with hot sauce! And it was too yum.

Well people tend to make mistakes, but Yari makes and corrects their mistakes instantly. That’s a lesson I learnt from Yari and huge shout out to Mr. Vimal. He deserves something special.

Customer Service is the Key for any successful business and Yari is the place where MBA should be taught.

Well I forgot to mention the Yari special kebab, it was cooked perfectly with the roasted cover outside followed by well steamed veggies inside making it easy for mellowing and it was too tempting and drooling.
