Cafe De Loco - The Pet Cafe Hyderabad — Restaurant in Telangana

I can only say that CAFE DE LOCO is not at all safe place for pets and kids. I will never recommend to anyone.

I had been to Hyderabad from Bangalore with my family (wife,2 sons LEO & ICE), LEO & ICE my 2 Golden Retrievers most friendly with all (Human & Dogs). We drove such a long distance to visit India’s fist dog park & CAFE DE LOCO so that my sons can enjoy this Diwali. On 10th Nov we visited the Dog park & experience was wonderful we met few LAB, Rottweiler, German Shepherd ++ all was very friendly & Both of them enjoyed a lot. It was wonderful start. Same day evening we visited CAFE DE LOCO. I had seen lots of good review of this café through online. We were more excited & visited with our relative. We welcomed with LUNA (Indian bread). She was bit aggressive as we entered her territory & settled down shortly. But PLUTO (Lhasa Apso) was very aggressive, he was about to attack ICE somehow got saved but unfortunately bitten me while taking to the owner near billing counter. he jumped on me without any reason. Immediately owner (Gentleman) started giving me advice on Lhasa Apso’s behavior. It was bleeding badly without assisting with first aid he was keep on advising. When we demanded for first aid box he took 10mins to find betadine solution. It was a pathetic situation. Photo is after visit of Care Hospital. Till date I have mingled with lots of aggressive breads like Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Pit bull, Doberman ++. He was continually educating on Lhasa Apso till I leave that place. Owner was having really attitude problem, not even said sorry once nor shown any concerned about my wound. My Vet is having 8 Lhasa Apso, all are adult & friendly. As per my knowledge how you are keeping & socializing it’s depend on that, all breads can be friendly. Some exceptional case is there & in that condition pet owner must take precautionary measures, but I have not seen any such kind of precautionary measures at CAFE DE LOCO. I never thought a pet owner will be like that who is running a cafe which is called pet Café & owner’s pets should be friendly enough to make the guest comfortable. Lots of people are afraid of Dog, pet Cafés should help them to win that fear & keep adopting dogs. CAFE DE LOCO is not such a place. With us 4yrs old kid also was there who was play with LEO & ICE. If PLUTO would have attack on him it would have more worst situation. One more issue was too much of mosquitoes & no action taken to make the guest comfortable. In Bangalore we are always visiting lots of Pet friendly resorts, Pet friendly Cafés, Cubbon Park ++ never faced...

A great place for pet lovers who are looking to spend time in a pet friendly environment. Cafe De Loco had been on our radar for a long time and we managed to visit last Sunday.

The atmosphere is at once warm and family friendly. We were pleasantly greeted by the resident puppies - Chase, Coco, Chanel and others. They greeted us enthusiastically as only puppies can do. The management is extremely warm and friendly. They took the trouble to greet us personally.

Cover charge is Rs 200 per head and is made in the name of your pet. So when you place your food or beverage order be ready to hear your order called out in your pet's name. Seating is casual and rustic keeping in tune with a pet friendly place. Cane and wooden furniture serves as seating and tables in a square open area. We settled into the comfortable cane chairs along with our two dogs who took in the place with some interest.

Our food order was Nachos with cheese & jalapenos, Massala french fries and Sausages with bread & butter. We ordered water along with the food and added on a coffee mojito for my wife and a regular mojito for myself. The food was served in short time and we enjoyed snacking our order along with our dogs and the residing puppies. Coco in particular made an impression on us with her personality. We later added on an order of chicken Kati roll. Be prepared to share your order with other doggies at Cafe De Loco!

Our food bill total came to Rs 1,423/- Cover charge is adjusted against the bill total. The receipt is sent via email - nice eco friendly touch!

Hemanth and Roochira the people behind the place have created a lovely rustic venue right in the middle of the bustling Gachibowli area. Sitting in the middle of all that with a high rise next door is surreal. If you are looking for a great place to spend with your pets this is one to consider.

It would be unfair to review Cafe De Loco as an eating joint. They do have a well sorted kitchen with a reasonable menu that serves a variety of dishes for both pets and kids. Whatever we ordered was prepared well and served with finesse. But that's not the point of this place. This establishment is meant for the pets and it is their space. And that is where they are excellent in providing a pet friendly venue where families can come to have a good time. Even if you don't have a pet of your own!

I was very upset of this place because of their way of thinking and treating the people, Once I had a bitter experience about an adoption of a lab pup they asked to pay 7K I didn't felt this as an adoption and felt like selling so I gave review about my dis satisfaction and surprisingly Mrs Roochira called me and arguing about the review (I felt very ugly that she called me personally to argue about this one, being a busy person I couldn't digest this weird behavior, How can she call personally??), me and my friends also in service of animals since 10 years we too rescued so many dogs and cats we never charged a rupee to adopters and we ourselves paid for fosters (every body will not be able to pay I can understand but it should not exceed reasonable if it exceeds then how it come under adoption?? its business) we never had a transactions of money between us and adopters we ourselves provide personal needs of animals while giving for adoption. I always preferred to adopt disabled animals and I did also (Harley a Cat). I knew very well what is an animal service being a knowledge person how can I entertain selling of animals under adoption?? I can't entertain so I express the same. Another pathetic situation I saw in their website is they are charging 500/- for bottle feeding the tiny kittens how cruel it is irrespective of their need, privacy and resting time how they will allow to disturb the innocent kittens for money it is against law under section 11(1)m animal cruelty act section 1960...I pray god for those kittens and hope Roochira and Hemant won't take my words wrong and I am not ready to disturb myself with irrelevant and reason...
