This restaurant is a health hazard! Twice I've been served spoiled, fishy curries that were clearly unfit for consumption. "Disappointing" is a gross understatement – for a place with "Kerala" in the name, there's zero authenticity. Every dish seems like a bad North Indian imitation, cooked by someone who's clearly never been to Kerala.
The owner's attitude is just as rotten as the food. When politely informed about the quality, they responded with rudeness. This is unacceptable.
Here's a warning, owner: I have proof of my visits (twice is more than enough chances). Don't even think about trying to remove this review – it's a genuine reflection of my experience. Focus on serving edible food. If you can't manage that, then do everyone a favor and shut down. Running a business this way is a violation of basic consumer ethics and, frankly, human decency.
And a word to the wise: Trying to silence negative reviews only makes things worse. In fact, if you attempt to remove this review, I'll be sure to share my experience on multiple platforms, using...
Read moreI recently visited The New Kerala Kitchen in Karkhana, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and it was a delightful experience for anyone craving authentic Kerala cuisine. This small, budget-friendly restaurant . ₹450 for two offers a taste of South India with a menu that includes dishes like Appam Chicken Roll, Parotta with Chicken Salna, and Neymeen Tawa Fried Seer Fish. I tried the Buff Kizhi Parotta, which was packed with flavor and had a perfect texture. The spices were well-balanced, and the portion sizes were generous for the price.
The ambiance is simple, with limited seating and a view of the open kitchen, which adds to the homely feel. The staff were friendly and quick, making the service pleasant. I also appreciated the pocket-friendly prices, which align with the restaurant’s reputation as a quick-serving spot for South Indian and fast food.
Overall, The New Kerala Kitchen is a great spot for authentic Kerala flavors at reasonable prices. I’d recommend it for a casual meal...
Read moreI tried the tuna fish curry here today and was quite disappointed. For ₹260, I expected a decent portion, but the quantity was very small. What bothered me more was that the pieces had bones in them — usually, when I order tuna at other Kerala restaurants, I get proper chunky, boneless pieces.
Here, the chunks were small, almost broken down into a paste that mixed into the gravy, making it hard to eat and even harder to enjoy because I had to be careful of bones in it. I personally prefer proper chunks of tuna to bite into, rather than a paste-like mix. The taste was okay, but the portion size, texture, and bony pieces made the experience quite unsatisfying. For the price, I don’t think...
