Location: Near Nitin co. Junction towards Korum mall. Easy to locate. Difficult to find parking space
Ambience: Air conditioned Small restaurant with just 4 tables of 4 chairs each.
Service:❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Food: We ordered: Chicken Cafreal for starters - well cooked chicken with nice masala. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We had this with Poee - a bun made of wheat, a bit sweet in taste.
Chicken rava fry - well marinated, fried and super tasty ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Surmai thali - their thali is unlike any other fish thali in Thane. The thali had curry with small prawns and a small portion of clams along with goan style solkadhi without coconut milk. The fry Surmai piece was perfectly marinated and fried. Just loved it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Chicken Xacuti thali: There was one dish with Chicken and another dish with just gravy. Both looked same but had a bit different taste. Chicken was well cooked and felt fresh. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Both Chicken and prawns curry were lightly spicy with flavor of black pepper. This small restaurant is worth visiting if you love fish or chicken. They don't have any mutton items on...
Read moreAVOID - if I have to describe the place in one word, this is what I would say. After my experience there, I am losing faith in the ratings and reviews available on the net. Having read the reviews and ratings of about 100+ customers, I decided to have lunch there. However, our experience was gar from satisfactory. Did not have great expectations about the ambience and decor after seeing the address and the pictures, but I was expecting a real good eating experience, which most of such small joints offer. The service was very slow, and basic customer orientation was missing. The quantity / portion size vis a vis the price was way too small / less. In a plate of bombil fry for rs.280/- there were 6 small pieces, and in the prawns curry, the prawns had to be searched. The redeeming feature was that the prawns curry was near authentic goan style. Overall, it was an unsatisfactory experience. Two of us had to go to another place from there to have some grub to complete the lunch. Will not visit again, nor will recommend...
Read moreWe ordered their Fish and chicken rice plate and my personal opinion about the fish curry is this: it's not gomantak style or taste but has its own personality and may not get appreciation from us folk who have been brought up on Highway Gomantak type food. The chicken preparation was superb...but a special 5 stars for the bangada rawa fry that was served...it was out of the world in terms of marination and freshness.. perfectly fried too ...was tempted to order another one but no space to put it into. The shellfish that came with the fish rice plate was a super duper let down for us because it was just turmeric flavoured masala and we are used to gomantak type of masala with lots of grated coconut and related spices. But then, this place does not claim to serve gomantak food but Goan and for that claim it's perfect. So folk do visit and I personally hope all the stuff served is fresh as it was when...
