Priority of Order: Your follow up order as u eat will come after restaurant completes all other orders. Meaning... u have to finish ur meal and wait as ur order is lazily prepared.

No staff will even attend to refilling water in the water jug on table.

Watch out the glasses seem to be unwashed and so are the skillets.

Staff: Automatons behind the counter. No hospitality except for punching & billing order.

Bleak and nonchalant staff. For the money you pay they don't even display any interest. Giving you the impression that u are at a over the counter store.

There are so many cooks and staff but I doubt if this is a efficiently run place. No wonder the customer is over charged.

South Bombay as name suggests it serves primarily South Indian Cuisine along with some North Indian snacks like Pav Bhaji, Chole Bhatoore etc. There fusion to South Indian is very good twist and tastes also good. We tried Mexican Roll Dosa, Pesto Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Idli Manchurian, Mini Mulgapudi Idli, Pizza Uttappa, Pav Bhaji. Every this was really tasty and yummy and Out of above my favourite was Mexican Roll Dosa and Pizza Uthappa. They have juices also which is served under Has Brand name. In juices my favourite is Sitafal Coconut.

In terms of service I would rate them 3 out of 5 as we had to repeat our requirements quite a few times and at times we also felt place is mismanaged probably this was due to rush.

I have been to South Bombay (Hiranandani estate) for more than four times now, the restaurant has a peaceful ambience and an authentic South Indian touch through the furniture and set up. The basic mode of service in the restaurant is self-service, however the staff is available to help you with the additional orders when you have already stated enjoying your meal. The space and dimensions of the restaurant is decent not too huge not too small which enables you to have a cozy dining with family and friends. The staff is very well behaved and the food quality is amazing...it is a good deal for the charge on the menu ...the must try list from my recommendation would be Paneer makhani dosa with Shikanji drink along with the recently launched Pav- Bhaji and Masala Pav. Overall, It is a perfect destination to try your hands on both South and North Indian...
