PizzaExpress — Restaurant in Thane

We had booked a table through Zomato on the day of vijaya Dasami. My wife arrived at the restaurant five minutes before me. She was denied entry even though there were a couple of tables empty and was asked to wait outside. I went at the exact time of booking and showed them the reservation details. They told us there is waiting even though 1 table wa still empty. When I enquired about the waiting time, they didn't give a reply and asked me why I booked through Zomato. This went on for sometime while they let other guests in . I recorded their video conversation and was about to leave , when a comment came"kahan se aa jate hain". That's when I noticed that all other customers were wearing western clothes while we had come in our desi 'kurta pajama'.

I would urge all people who think they are desi to avoid this place. P.s- I had dined at this same place more than 20 times earlier at this very restaurant as my son loves their pasta and it's just next door...

We visited this restaurant expecting authentic pizzas, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Honestly, it is not any better than Domino's or Pizza Hut — in fact, those chains offer better quantity of toppings and larger pizza sizes compared to this place.

The service was extremely poor. The staff seemed completely unable to handle the crowd. It took 40 minutes just to serve a coffee, and the same amount of time for a pizza. We have visited other pizza restaurants where they prepare fresh pizzas within 20 minutes, so there is no excuse for such delays.

Pricing is also very high considering the poor quantity and quality. The pizza we received was burnt, making the experience even worse.

Overall, it was a very bad experience — nothing about the visit was satisfying.

I genuinely do not understand how this restaurant has received such high ratings. Definitely not...

From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff at Pizza Express set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, Our server Tejas made us feel genuinely welcome.

The food was the true highlight. Each dish was served piping hot and beautifully presented. The classic Margherita had the perfect balance of crispy base, fresh tomato sauce, and creamy mozzarella. The dough balls with garlic butter were an absolute must-try—light, fluffy, and incredibly flavorful.

We also appreciated the attention to detail—cutlery was spotless, service was prompt, and the team ensured our preferences were taken care of with a smile.
