When you hear the name, the first thing that comes to your mind is your family. That's precisely what this place strives for. They have introduced this place with the sole purpose of getting families together. The old, rustic and antique photo-frames with pictures of a happy family look magnificent on their beige coloured wall. Inspite of having an interior as well as exterior seating, you know that the place is definitely a favourite amongst people when there is more than 20 people waiting in queue to enter. After this came the star drink, the Raspberry Cheesecake Milkshake. Thick creamy and perfectly balanced. It had all the elements. The perfect crunch, the smooth cheesiness, and a tangy and sweet raspberry compote to top it. It simply couldn't get better. This was unique in its own way and managed to make way to our hearts. When we moved on to the food, we realised that the place is not a heaven just for the vegetarians, but jains as well. They have a lot of varieties in Jain food which they have carved with utmost perfection. The first thing that we ordered was the Manhattan Fries. Fully loaded with gooey melted cheese and topped with salsa and a freshness of parsley, the fries tasted delicious. The cheese blended with the fries extremely well and gave a wonderful consistent taste. The quality of their food is amazing too. The next dish that we tried was the Burrito Supreme. Presented on a tray in a rolled up sushi style, they looked absolutely tempting. With the base of the burrito grilled just the right amount, the flavours within were all set to explode. Served with fresh sour cream and salsa, it was filled with a perfectly blended mix of rice, Mexican beans, veggies and salsa. It was an amazing pick too. After this came the Cheese Corn Tikki. The tikki was a proof that, not only did they serve the best Foreign cuisine but Indian cuisine as well. The mash of cheese and corn in the potato patty tasted just in place. The patty tasted a lot like a kebab and the moistness is added by the spicy green chutney served on the side. The chutney was fresh and it complimented the tikki extremely well. For the mains, we decided to try their Chinese as well as Indian. We ordered the Paneer Khurchan. Their naans as well as rotis are so soft that they melted in the mouth along with the sabzi. The pieces of paneer were extremely soft and mashed as well as cubed with the spicy gravy loaded with a whole lot of veggies. It looked delicious, the quantity was generous and so was the taste. Moving on to the desserts, we decided to opt for their chocolate fondue. Once again, it was extremely impressive. Served with cubes of vanilla and chocolate brownie, this one was extremely reasonable. The taste of brownies was spot on and the warmth bowled us over. They also offered us their Paan Ice-Cream as well as Banoffee Pie, both of which are yet to be introduced in their menu. We suggest that everyone should keep looking out for these both. Phe paan ice-cream is served in an actual roll of pan and is the best one we have ever had. The ice-cream had the exact flavour of the paan masala and it's so smooth it goes down the throat without any effect. The Banoffee Pie was extremely delicious too. With a crunchy cracking base and the creamy banana toffee sauce loaded with whipped cream, this one is again an amazing dessert. Our meal ended on an extremely happy note. Their staff is amazing and everything about this place is spot on. Go with your family or your friends, you will definitely end up having a lot of fun!
Ambience: 5/5 Taste Quotient:...
Read moreWe were here to celebrate the friend of a birthday and thus were around 15 people. First are the ambiance and the restaurant insides. There are two sections in the restaurant with perfect lighting and a soothing atmosphere. The atmosphere really will help you calm down and relax before having food. Plus, the restaurant is super clean from the inside.
Coming to the actual order, we ordered 4 - The China Box and 6 - Royal Indian Meal. Both were the meal for two variants. The China meal for two starts with Veg. Manchow soup with some fried noodles to be added to it. The manchow soup was terrific in taste, and also the quantity was enough for one person. The fried noodles were crispy and perfectly enhanced the taste of the soup. In the starters part, we had vegetables in black sauce where veggies included broccoli, babycorn, etc. The other starter was Paneer Manchurian. Both the starters were perfect in terms of taste and spice. The paneer was nice and soft, and I enjoyed both the starters.
In the main course, they served us with an option of Veg/Schezwan fried rice and Veg/Schezwan Noodles. So we took up a combination of both in all four meal combos. The fried rice was served hot and contained tons of veggies perfectly fried, and we especially loved the schezwan rice and noodles because they were not too spicy, but the schezwan just increased the taste. Last but not the least was their signature mousse for dessert. A real heaven for chocolate lovers. They serve it in a cup filled from top to bottom with just creamy chocolate mousse, of which every spoon you eat melts into your mouth, giving you the rich chocolate taste. All in all, the china box was worth the cost, with taste and quality being top-notch.
The Royal Indian meal consisted of 2 regular veggies. One was bhindi masala, and another was mixed Veg (any one of the two in a meal) and two bowls of their signature paneer khurchan. The butter rotis were nice and soft and exactly as their name overflowing with butter. There was an option of Veg. Pulav or Jeera rice, and we tried both. The Veg. pulav they really had put small bits of veggies such as carrots and peas while the jeera rice was hot, and you could soak in the fragrance of basmati rice used for preparing it. The boondi raita and buttermilk as accompaniments were perfect and really enhanced the flavor. Last but not least, the gulab jamun was indeed the best I have ever eaten. They were hot and soft and so delicious that it just was the perfect ending to a well-served Indian lunch.
All in all, each one of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. Taste is superb, quantity more than enough for two people as the meal states, and zomato pro saves a part of your bill. It is highly recommended to try...
Read moreNow let's talk about being at a place which is finally been themed after a family and its very much right to call this one a family restaurant in the end.
Family tree located in thane is one of those cozy and hidden gem kind of restaurant which has some serious positive vibes around and inside. You just cannot comment about the place by just looking from outside, you may get surprised by what's there for you inside.
Talk about the ambience, this restaurant is actually themed after the family members. So all the chairs that are kept have some mother, father or grandfather's face carved on the back of every chair. Lights are kept smooth and dim, walls have some things to show as well.
And of course, the staff and the food, two words, courteous and amazing.
Timely service and hot, finger licking food are what makes the dinner scenes a perfect one.
Well we had a full appetite of course till the end but what we had is,
Mocktails,
Tender Coconut Bubblegum Mojito Nutella Nutty shake Oreo Blueberry Shake
Now these are by far their best shakes and Mocktails as far as I've seen and understood about the menu.
And Tender Coconut is a must Recommended of these, i mean the coconut cream and coconut milk blended together and served inside tender coconut, you won't ask for more but this is perfection.
We had some starters as well,
Tortilla Cigars Paneer With Three Peppers Kajori Tikki Cheese Monaco Twist California Potatoes Bruschetta
Now of these there are actually very few, i would say, are perfect and delicious. Paneer and cheese monaco are must recommended and then you can go for Bruschetta as well.
And there comes the time for the main course which i always wait for and this time actually we've decided to go for the traditional, always being used to items, Rice and Naan.
We've ordered,
Paneer Tikka Shahajani Butter Garlic Naan Jeera Rice Yellow Daal Tadka
A simple yet very mjch satisfying cuisine for your appetite. Well these are perfectly prepared as you woukd like them to be. Also special mention for the Yellow Daal Tadka, this has been one of those places where i would love to have this kind of food.
And now we're down to the desserts which we actually wanted to go for more but because of the time constraint, could not make it to those so we had only,
Ramesh And Suresh, I'm quite not sure about the sticks, what ther are made up of from outside but well i can taste the 5-Star filling on the inside and i must say,
If you're trying this one at least try to make some space in your stomach for this to fit in.
Not to forget about the service, special thanks to Mr. Alam, Mr. Mangal and Mr. Bulram for serving us on time and such...
