I recently visited the Haldiram Restaurant in Ambarnath, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. There were several key issues that significantly affected the overall dining experience:
Shortage of Drinking Water: One of the first things I noticed was the lack of drinking water. There seemed to be a consistent shortage, and we had to repeatedly request water, which took a surprisingly long time to arrive.
Judgmental Staff: The behavior of the staff was unprofessional. It was clear that they were judging customers based on their food choices. This kind of attitude from the staff is not acceptable, as it made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. A restaurant should provide a friendly atmosphere for all customers, regardless of what they order.
Unclean Tables: The cleanliness of the restaurant was another concern. The tables that were meant to be available for new customers were left dirty and cluttered from previous diners. There was no effort from the staff to clean up promptly, leaving us to find a table that was properly cleaned ourselves.
Long Wait Times: After placing our order, the wait time was excessively long. It felt like the kitchen was struggling to keep up with the demand, and there were no updates or apologies from the staff. This kind of delay can significantly dampen the dining experience, especially when you're hungry and expecting prompt service.
Overall, the Ambarnath branch of Haldiram has potential, but the poor service, lack of cleanliness, and judgmental attitude of the staff need to be addressed urgently. I hope the management takes these criticisms seriously and works to improve the experience for...
Read moreWe recently visited Haldiram at Hiranandani Estate, Thane for a family brunch, and it turned out to be one of those memorable outings where everything just fell into place. The ambience is bright, clean, and welcoming, making it a great spot for families to sit together and enjoy a hearty meal. It has the right mix of comfort and casual dining vibes that makes you want to linger a little longer over conversations and food.
The menu is extensive, offering everything from classic North Indian and South Indian favorites to snacks, chaats, and desserts. What stood out for us was the consistency of taste and quality across dishes. Each item we ordered was freshly prepared, well-balanced in flavor, and presented with care. You can sense that Haldiram maintains a high standard when it comes to their recipes and ingredients.
One highlight that deserves a special mention is their Jeera Goli Soda. Simple yet refreshing, it instantly became the star of our brunch. It carried that nostalgic tang and fizz that reminded us of old-school summer treats, and it was so good that everyone at the table ended up ordering seconds.
The staff, too, added to the positive experience with their quick service and polite approach. They were attentive without being intrusive, which made our meal smooth and enjoyable.
Overall, Haldiram at Hiranandani Estate is not just about good food but also about creating a wholesome dining experience. If you are in Thane and looking for a family-friendly restaurant that combines great taste with a pleasant environment, this place should definitely be...
Read moreThis is the only Haldiram I have ever been to that has disappointed me not once but again and again. I have eaten at the restaurant and ordered through zomato as well. In spite of the regular disappointment, I keep going back to them only because there is no other outlet in the vicinity which comes closer to the taste a Delhiite like me needs. Once at dine in we received pani puri with spoiled potato. When the issue was raised they offered no apologies or replace the whole plate for us. They simply replaced the potato for the left over pani puri to be eaten. The kachori of raj kachori has always and I mean always tasted stale (both at restaurant or home delivery). We are never able to eat it. When we order online, our regular order is dahi wada and dahi papdi, and the restaurant sends us changed recipe every other time. Sometimes they have extremely less curd other times more, same with spices. And the most irritating aspect is the quantity. I have received less than half a bowl, or almost overflowing bowl from them every other time. The person behind the kitchen counter certainly isn't experienced or trained well.
This aside there are days that they have the perfect taste that we seek. But sadly those days are very limited.
Their kitchen isn't operational till now probably because of gas connection issues.
If only the restaurant works towards maintaining the quantity and quality to be the standard everytime it would be highly appreciated. If it's possible pls go to The Haldiram outlet in Korum mall...
