Have visited many places for dinner but this was by far the worst experience ever. The service was pathetic to say the least..... It was a weekday and only 2 other tables were occupied at the time but after 30 mins of waiting for the non veg platter we enquired the waiter and he replied "it takes atleast 35-40 mins to prepare the platter" (which is understandable for a packed restaurant but they were clearly not packed) still we waited. It finally arrived 50 mins after we had placed the order. The starters were the only good dishes we had. Also no one was serving us the food until the main course arrived. The kadai paneer and mix veg were a disappointment...... The worst was yet to come , they never asked us whether we wanted mineral water from the bottle or the water which the restaurants serve. The mineral water bottle was kept on each table and they never said anything about the 80rs charge on the 30rs mrp of that bottle. I have attached the screenshot from some other review which was highlighting the same issue. Their justification is completely right - it is legal and meant to cover the service charges. But they still had the audacity to apply the 10% service tax in the bill. What kind of service? Next to nothing? If the "legal overpricing" of water bottle is meant to cover the charges why should a customer even bother to pay the service taxes. We still did because the "manager" present there (who was the waiter who brought us the starters at our table but didnt bother to serve us) was ignoring the fact that their service was atrocious. We were there celebrating for a special occasion but their service definitely ruined it. For a minute even we thought that it was just a bad occurrence for them but there are many reviews regarding their "top quality" service and...
Read moreRecently I visited, "The West India Co." It was a Thursday evening, and we had the whole place almost to ourselves barring a few diners. The staff were so sweet and extremely accommodating, literally serving us on their toes. They took special care to ensure that everyone was happy with regards to food & drinks. Since I'm a vegetarian, they recommended me so many starters from the menu. I didn't want Western ones 🤪, So they suggested so many Indian starters. The food was so yummy, served hot. The jalapeño poppers is to die for 😘 They made a special non alcoholic toddy for me with Indian spices to soothe my irritated throat. The staff treat you like you are a king There's a DJ on the floor... Poor guy we made so many requests(multilingual), he played all the songs we requested...kab7hi slow, kabhi fast. There's so much place inside and it's beautiful outside, especially for winter evenings. I also saw an alcove with greenery for smoking, so people don't smoke on our faces. Not to mention the state of the art loo(toilet). I was so totally impressed with so much emphasis placed on the cleanliness and hygiene. They have a wide variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, and the food menu is multicuisine, too. They have live bands performing on certain days. I highly recommend visiting WIC. It's a fine dining restaurant. I loved the decor and the ambience. I especially loved the big table with the vintage wicker chairs. I think everything's beautifully planned and executed by the owner Rajeev. Loved it❤️ It's by far the bestest place to party. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5...
Read moreI went there for buffet lunch along with my family. The mineral water bottle of price 15 INR was kept on the table. No one informed that it is chargeble but when we paid the bill its price was 80 rupees mentioned in the bill and we paid GST on top of that. I am not commenting any bad feedback for food and service that was really nice but what I am trying to say is, a sensible person can easily understand. (NOTE1: WAITER DID NOT INFORM US THAT IT IS CHARGEBLE).
I believe 80INR mentioned in the bill before GST is a crime. Rest you all guys know what you should go before to think to visit that restrurant.
Note2: I visited first time for buffet lunch, but other than that visited 5 to 6 times for parties. During the parties no once check that kind of amount so this is my mistake that I never noticed it and went 7th time there (1st time for lunch). But I want to notify all that we should be aware of that.
I know 85INR will not be a big deal for a person who is entering in such kind of restrurant but whatever is wrong and illegal that I am mentioning. If owner want to get such kind of amount, customer will give direclty give it to him but he should not do such kind of cheat and fraud. One day such kind of cheats become the scam and then we blame to our govt.
@owner: If you want 85 INR extra just let me know I shall give you without any second thought, but please do not do such kind of cheat. This time I was with family and feel bad after seeing that...
