Ramji Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Thane

Strategically located near Khewra Circle. Mediocre food, mediocre ambience and extremely poor service. Based on my two experiences of this restaurant I don't even know if the owner is educated enough to read this but nonetheless I believe other visitors might be able to benefit from reading.

Couple of years ago I visited this restaurant for dinner and we were having soup and we decided to order some rice. Everything was going right up until this point when our rice order actually arrived and it was cold. We called the waiter and he came and he touched our food with his hands to check if it was hot. To my surprise and my friend who was also equally surprised, when we asked him why did you do this? We both were not even able to process what the waiter just did. The waiter replied "KYA!?" to which we both got up and spoke to the manager who said "its OK, pura paisa mat do, thoda paisa de do, we are sorry" I told him why should we even pay you for food that we didn't even eat and it is your waiter's fault. But the manager still kept begging for money. At this point me and my friend both regretted visiting this place and we ended up paying some 40 Rs for the rice and left. While we were talking to the manager the waiter was still near the managers' desk waiting to pick a fight.

This incident was back in 2017 and I decided to not go back. I did feel very petty years later about this story and I thought let me give it another shot. I went again in 2022 with my friends for a drink. Last time it was on the ground floor. This time it was a terrace.

This time everything was perfect. The waiter was late as other reviews mention. Everything was late, which was still OK since we were here for spending time and talking mostly. The cushion on chairs had perfect holes on them. The table cloth had aesthetic stains on them.

I do not know who is responsible for this, but if you own a restaurant then maybe learn how to hire the correct people for the job. It is disappointing such restaurants exist in Thane and it is even more disappointing that people who pay you are treated so badly. End of the day, the end user doesn't care who runs the restaurant, they care about how they are treated. I do not know what kind of owner/manager can be so negligent and allow such behavior from...
